We got up to watch the sunrise this morning and headed over to the Rodanthe Pier. They are super chill and wouldn't let me pay for parking - thanks!

It was extra humid - to the point that I missed the sunrise just waiting for the glass acclimatize & de-fog, but once that was set we could go make some images.

I found this cool piece of driftwood in the and broke out the long exposure gear. I used a split tone neutral density...

I found this cool piece of driftwood in the and broke out the long exposure gear. I used a split tone neutral density filter with a circular polarizer - this brings down the exposure of the sky, and reduces glare on the water. The toughest part here was dodging the mosquitoes!
