Blind Photography by Jefferson Davis

Blind Photography by Jefferson Davis My name is, indeed, Jefferson Davis. I am from the state of South Carolina. I have been doing photography consistently for over eight years. I am also a writer.

I've been lucky enough to travel a considerable amount in my life, but the Upstate of South Carolina is home. I only have one eye that works, so photography has always fascinated me. To say that I have a unique perspective on life would be an understatement. Though my degree is not in art, I did take photography and art classes. Most of my work is in the artistic spectrum. I like old architecture

and nature. In the upstate of South Carolina, we have a lot of mountainous hiking trails. I do my best to record those in an artistic manner. I currently have a photo book on blurb and will be publishing at least two more books on amazon this summer. Thank you for stopping by. If you are interested in any of the images published on this page, please send me a message. I do portraits and landscape photography, but I currently don't do weddings.

They didn't succeed despite being blind so much as they succeeded as blind people, full stop, doing the work in front of them until the work was undeniable....

Understanding ADA Compliance vs. Accessibility

When people talk about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), they often assume that “compliant” automatically means “accessible.” It doesn’t. In fact, the gap between those two ideas is where many disabled people run into the most frustrating and sometimes dangerous experiences. ADA compliance is about meeting the minimum legal requirements. It’s a checklist: Are there braille room signs? Are doorways wide enough?...
