Apparently this was the closest our ship has been to the face of Harvard Glacier in years. Conditions allowed us to observe the calving from a short distance. This was my 4th voyage with Princess Cruises and we’ve lucked out with great weather every time!

Now off to Iceland to lead two groups with Nat Expo Tours | Travel!

Happy Nature Photography Day 2026!

I would be out exploring with my camera today but I am currently en route to Iceland to lead two groups with Nat Expo Tours, LLC. We took last year off from Iceland, and I look forward to returning to one of our favorite destinations!

Another stunning day in Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska!

This is my 4th visit to Glacier Bay in the last month as a guest lecturer with Princess Cruises and I’ve had great weather and calm seas every time, which makes for stunning reflections. Speaking of ice, I leave Monday for Iceland to guide two tours with Nat Expo Tours | Travel. We haven’t been to Iceland in a couple years, so I look forward to being back there.

And I look forward to being back here again next month…

Happy World Oceans Day!

I've had the opportunity to explore oceans in every hemisphere around the globe, including incredible locations in Southeast Alaska and Prince William Sound as a recent guest lecturer with Princess Cruises. I took this last week in College Fjord aboard the Grand Princess on what was the calmest day I've ever experienced there. I have another voyage this week and I know my run of great weather is bound to run out one of these days. Next week I will be off to Iceland to lead two groups with Nat Expo Tours, LLC.

Margerie Glacier, Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska. This is my third voyage as a guest lecturer with and I’ve lucked out with great conditions in Glacier Bay every time. The blue tones show up better under overcast skies. Looking forward to what tomorrow brings in Prince William Sound!

To say that I was fortunate with beautiful weather on my first two voyages with Princess Cruises would be an understatement. From Glacier Bay to Prince William Sound, we had calm seas and great light.

I leave tomorrow for Juneau, where I will board a different ship for my third voyage as a guest lecturer and so far, the forecast looks favorable...

Scenes from Glacier Bay National Park while on board the Discovery Princess last week. This was my first visit to Glacier Bay and conditions were perfect for calm reflections. The overcast skies kept the highlights under control while accentuating the blue glacial ice.

I look forward to returning for my second voyage as a guest lecturer with Princess Cruises next week!
