I appreciate you all and thank everyone for your support. I have been receiving a lot more friend requests on my personal page lately so I am sharing this as I have met and know so many wonderful people from my travels, events and career. I receive your "friend requests", and I see them, however, I keep that page for close family. It's there to share personal, family things. So, please do not be offended by me not accepting.
Don't ever hesitate to reach out here via messenger. It's literally just me here... as much as I think it would be a dream to be some big time, famous photographer with a social media team to field all my content; the reality is, I'm just Mike, and I'm ok with that 🙂

They're not real jewels but they're on jewel beach and it's the best example I've ever found. Broken glass that gets snow plowed and scooped up in winter and dumped on the beach where it gets tumbled into, well, you know now. I sit and type, and debate; should I just leave it all a mystery to the viewer... does an explanation remove the intrigue or mystery? Or... did anyone actually read this far.

I couldn't sleep tonight so a short drive took me by this. I had my camera in the truck and there were no cars on the road so I stopped. What you can't tell from this is that this streetlight illuminated stone is over 5feet tall. People in the area frequently paint new pieces on it. This week is wildflowers... perhaps the last we'll be seeing for a while as I awoke to all the surrounding mountains being covered in snow yesterday morning 😔

Aug. 8th! What a weekend! Unfortunately I could only make it to day 1 of the 2026 Alaska-Yukon North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA) test but I'm still blessed to have had the opportunity. Seeing the work these handlers and pups have put in all come together is so rewarding.
