So my oldest son is a pretty good photographer. He has a really good eye. But often we disagree on what is "good" and what is not. We definitely have different tastes and styles. That being said, I really love trees, and especially the trees in the mountains. I was editing these and his response was, those are boring, they are JUST trees. He can disagree all he wants. I love taking photos of JUST trees.

When I was young and taking a photo class in college, I had a teacher once say to me something about how I had the ability to find "beauty in the mundane". To be honest, I think he meant it as a criticism and not a compliment. But I took it as a compliment and have appreciated that statement for many years now. Yes, weeds can have beauty as much as a raggedy antelope can.
