I guess I should introduce myself. I am Mandy and this page is for all of my non Maternity or Newborn related portraiture! I often have creative ideas or other genres that I want to show that don't really fit on my 'baby related page.
So thank you for being here.
This is me. In Switzerland. In a little forest clearing near the beautiful Lauterbrunnen area. My heart is at home in Switzerland, but I am born in the USA, and am currently Mrs. USA for the next 6 months or so, and for the last 7 years and now through that title I am an advocate for refugees and mental health and su***de awareness.
So this portrait is a "painterly" style edit, which I love to do. If you zoom in close, you can see that everything but the eyes are a painted edit. I love creative edits.
I love photography that celebrates culture and dance in all of it's forms.
I love to capture the joy in others talents and help them see how beautiful they really are.
That's me in a nutshell....
Oh 😂 and I have a super handsome husband and have given birth to 8 amazing children. I probably should have led with that 😂
But also...I am scatterbrained. ADHD. On the Spectrum and struggle with anxiety and depression and use photography as kind of therapy, I guess.
I have been a photographer for 13 years and am not cheep 😂 But hope you feel super amazing about yourself after your session. When you see yourself in the images I capture, I hope you have a renewed light ignite in your spirit reminding you of who you are. And just how incredible you are, how far you have come and who you are capable of becoming. Is that too much of a grand goal?
I have seen people look at their images and cry because they had no idea they were so beautiful. It changes us when we see ourselves through others eyes or through another lens. It brings me joy to help others see what I see in them.
So there you have it folks....I am a more that a little bit crazy...more than a little bit hot and cold...up and down...all around...but in the middle I like to create beautiful things that help me feel ok in the meantime and help others as well.
The End.
