I'm a Utah based wildlife photographer specializing in birds of prey. My love for raptors sparked three years ago, when a gorgeous American Kestrel landed on the roof of my home. In that moment, I realized just how much beauty in nature I'd been overlooking. Since then, I’ve spent as much time as I can outdoors, photographing all kinds of birds, from owls and falcons to eagles and kites, across th

e American West and beyond. I love observing animals, learning about their behaviors, and sharing those moments with others. Through photography, I’ve connected with people from all over the world, and nothing makes me happier than helping someone notice birds for the first time or care a little more about protecting natural spaces. Sharing these photos is my way of advocating for the wildlife I adore, and through it, I hope to help others fall in love with them too.

A photo I've envisioned for years, traveled for, lost sleep for, driven hours for.

If you know me, you know I absolutely love raptors on fence posts πŸ˜… When I was started learning wildlife photography, I was very inspired by a photographer and friend who has the most incredible photos of birds on wooden posts!

I've had close opportunities to get this shot of a barn owl over the years... but it was too dark, or I was too slow.

So how did this finally happen?

I was planning to look for long eared owls before sunrise, but missed my alarm.

It was a long drive and I was telling myself it wasn't worth going out because I would be too late.

But after an hour of convincing myself, I went.

And thank goodness that I did because seeing this owl hunt a field in front of me was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen.

Then it landed on the post. This beautiful bird reminded me that the best part about photographing wildlife is that you can't control it, you can't make it do what you want. But you can go outside.

Early, late, harsh light, sunny, stormy.

There is always something to see and appreciate. ❀️
