Yep...it's the moon. Not sure what all the hype is about. LOL. All these super, mega, ultra, harvest, super, moon things look the same to my untrained eye. Only difference I see is when it's a blood moon and has the orange tint to it.

LONG POST WARNING.
So this past Saturday was our 28th wedding anniversary. It also happen to be the same day as Ratstock 3. We've gone to Ratstock the previous two years and decided to keep the tradition going. However this time since it was on our anniversary we decided to go about it a little differently as compared to the previous two years. Normally we go and the event is the main focus where I take a bunch of pics of the rat rods and their details, plus some of my wife with them as well. This year we switched it up and used the event as a backdrop instead. This time my wife was the main focus. I usually post pics of her stuffing her face with food, which are unflattering...but funny and she rolls with it. I wanted to give her a proper, full on photoshoot, like I use to do years back. There was a time when I was hard core into getting a photography business going. I lost focus of what was most important and truly mattered...my wife. Due to my focus on photography, I neglected her and put her on the back burner for a long time. I was to concerned with getting my name out there and building up my portfolio. If I wasn't working my full time job, I was off doing photography related stuff. Ultimately it came to a point where I had to make a choice. Once I truly realized what I had been doing and how I had been with her...I stopped. They say a couple that plays together, stays together. We weren't playing together anymore because of my poor choices. So I made the change and put my wife as my priority again. We've always been into the power sports scene. We did the jet ski, ski boat, lake thing for a decade. ATV's and off road trips to off road parks around here and Tennessee for a decade. Never did snowmobiling...too cold for her. Lol. So it only seemed natural to continue on into the street bike end of it all, as it was on our bucket list (and we're not getting any younger). So I bought a bike that we could afford and we started riding. Since I'm into the photography thing, the camera came along...to capture our lives, moments, and adventures. As time went on I realized how much I missed living my own life and time with my wife. I spent years documenting other people's lives, adventures, and accomplishments. Now it's our turn. So this is why I take so many pics and spam the hell out of them. It's meant to be a proclamation of how much I'm enjoying what I doing now and who I'm doing it with. I'm keeping my wife as my main priority and trying to make up for lost time. I'm not trying to stick it in your face. I'm just proud of where we are and am screaming it from the rooftops. However, from this point forward, I'll only post it to our pages and not share it around in the groups unless its strictly event coverage. I still do a few photography events/conventions/gigs each year....but only a few and not during the warmer weather parts of the year. That time is for us. So no, things haven't always been great for us. After 28 years of marriage your bound to have ups and down in the relationship. We just both have the mindset that if something is broken, you try to fix it before throwing it away. We are fixed and back on the road...literally. If you read all the way to this point...damn, that was a lot to read, and thank you for taking the time to do as such. Hopefully this message can or will be of use to others in some capacity or form. I'm just being honest and trying to pay it forward. Stay safe out there, cherish those around you, and enjoy what you can while you can. This world can be a crazy place, so find what makes you truly happy and hold onto it as hard as you can for as long as you can.
