I think we may need hot air balloons in Downtown Seattle more often. Although where we fly daily doing hot air balloon tours in front of Mt Rainier is cool too…

What a way to start the day in Seattle! 🌅

Fly Beyond Drones was invited to capture aerial photos and video of the Hot Air Balloon event on the roof of Toyota of Seattle and Honda of Seattle at sunrise.

Huge thank you to Seattle Ballooning, Toyota of Seattle, and Muckeshoot Casino for having me there. I’m really glad I got to work with such a great team and capture something this unique from the air.

And look at this proud mama balloon with her two little rascals. :)

P.S. In some photos, I removed a few extra tether ropes from the larger balloon for a cleaner image. You can still see the full setup in at least one shot. It was a very safe and controlled experience for passengers.

I’m excited to share that I won the May Aerial Media Contest with one of my top down drone images captured over Seattle.

Aerial Media selected the photo for its unique perspective and strong composition. That is exactly what I love about aerial photography: familiar places can suddenly feel completely new when viewed from the sky.

Thank you to Aerial Media for the recognition, and congratulations to everyone who submitted their work. It is always inspiring to see how much creativity there is in the drone photography community.

Grateful for every opportunity to keep flying, creating, and showing the Seattle area from a different perspective.

It took us a while to narrow it down because there were so many incredible entries this month! 🙌🏻

Congratulations to Roman Yuferev for winning our May Aerial Media Contest! 🎉 Roman will receive the $500 prize for this stunning top-down image captured over Seattle.

We were immediately drawn to the unique perspective, strong composition, and the way the scene transforms into an almost abstract work of art when viewed from above. It’s a fantastic example of the creativity that aerial photography makes possible. 🏙️
