I've covered some of the biggest stories in North Central Florida including University of Florida football player Tim Tebow's wins, First Lady Michelle Obama's campaign stops for her husband, President Barack Obama and Pastor Terry Jones' burning of the Koran de

monstration which garnered international headlines. I've been blessed enough to have been published in local and national publications including Sports Illustrated, Ebony Magazine, The New York Times, Gainesville Magazine, Gainesville Sun, Home Magazine, Undersea Journal and Women's Day Magazine to name a few.

A fresh layer of snow transformed North Carolina Central University into a quiet winter landscape. ❄️🦅

From snow-covered walkways and academic buildings to open courtyards and gathering spaces, each corner of campus reflected a rare and peaceful moment in time. Even the statue of James E. Shepard stood dusted in white—a reminder that his vision, leadership, and legacy continue to guide this institution through every season.

The scene highlighted both the beauty of the moment and the enduring purpose that defines NCCU.

The Ultimate Homecoming Step Show is one of those Homecoming moments that never fails to bring the energy, legacy, and unity that make North Carolina Central University so special. Seeing my photos shared by NCCU is more than a highlight — it’s a reminder of how powerful our culture and creativity are when we come together.

Capturing the precision, passion, and pride of our Divine Nine and service organizations during this year’s show was unforgettable. From the first stomp to the final salute — Eagle Excellence was on full display!

Thankful for the opportunity to photograph the incredible leaders from all 57 Durham Public Schools during the DPS Leadership Retreat. As a proud product of Durham Public Schools, it's amazing to reflect on how far I've come in my journey as a photographer. Now, I get to stand behind the lens and capture the educators and administrators who are shaping the next generation of Durham’s students, just as they once did for me. 📸

This past weekend, I had the incredible honor of photographing North Carolina Central University’s 145th Commencement—three inspiring ceremonies celebrating 1,011 Eagle graduates who crossed the stage and stepped boldly into their purpose.

What made this moment even more powerful was having my Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Gamma Beta chapter brothers— my line brother, Durham Mayor Leonardo Williams, veteran journalist Ernie Suggs, and policy leader Reggie McCrimmon. As alumni speakers, they delivered a unified and resonant charge to the graduates: Stand up. Stand out. Stand on purpose.

Behind the lens, I captured over 4,000 moments filled with pride, perseverance, and purpose. Every smile, tear, hug, and tassel turn was a reflection of the strength and spirit of our Eagle community.
These weren’t just photos—they were stories. Stories of first-generation triumphs, legacies fulfilled, and futures taking flight.

To the Class of 2025: your time at NCCU has prepared you not just to succeed, but to make a difference. As you soar forward, remember to stay connected to the nest. Support our alma mater. Join the Alumni Association. Pour back into the institution that poured into you. You are ready. You are worthy. Now...Keep soaring!! 🦅📸

I had the incredible privilege of photographing An Evening to Shine, an inspiring event hosted by Durham Public Schools & the DPS Foundation that spotlighted the remarkable talents of Durham’s performing arts students. From powerful performances to unforgettable moments on stage, these students showcased not just their creativity, but their passion, dedication, and potential. This event wasn’t just about celebrating the arts—it was also about investing in the future. Funds raised will go toward college scholarships, helping these young stars continue to shine bright long after the curtain falls.

As a proud product of Durham Public Schools and a part of the first graduating class from Durham School of the Arts, I can speak firsthand on how the continued support from the community will make an impact on these students.
