I found my first darkroom at 12 years old. This week, at 44, I found it again.
A week of loading film, mixing chemistry, watching images rise in the developer tray. We got our hands into cyanotypes and Van D**e prints, coaxing pictures out of sunlight and precious metals and time. And we made a REAL photo book!!
No instant gratification. Just slow, intentional craft, and a room full of people who made it feel like magic all over again.
A week of slow, playful, intentional making with the most generous group of instructors and fellow students I could have asked for.
Should I start including film photography packages to clients?
