It’s a pleasure to work with the Dunwoody Convention and Visitors Bureau and I’m delighted they are running these full-page ads in Atlanta Magazine, and Atlanta Parent Magazine, promoting the parade.

What better thing to do on Labor Day than to labor making photos of the Secretary of Labor! The Anheuser-Busch plant in Cartersville is donating over half a million can of clean drinking water to communities in Louisiana and Texas. Secretary Acosta and the president of North America for A-B, Joao Castro Neves, toured the plant, watched as the water was canned and loaded on trucks, and had a town hall meeting with the employees. Great job Anheuser-Busch for helping American communities affected by hurricane Harvey.

Delighted to shoot the Butterfly Festival at the Dunwoody Nature Center. As a photographer it's a fun event and definitely a "content-rich" environment. (aka the is a whole lot of "cute" going on.)

experience being among hundreds of butterflies in three individual tents during the 24th annual Butterfly Festival presented by Cox Enterprises. We can't wait to do it all again next year, and in the meantime, join us for great fall programs including nature classes, Friday Night Hikes, Art in the Park, Backyard Campout and more!

Thanks to the Junior Theater Festival for entrusting us to photograph your event for the 6th year in a row. Looking forward to seeing you in Sacramento!

What makes this all possible? The most amazing group of photo professionals in the business. This weekend, among other things, our team posed and shot 3 unique poses of over 100 groups -- ranging in size from 20-80 fun-loving musical theater kids — in 5 hours. That is quite an accomplishment !

One of the great joys, and great responsibilities, of being a photographer is that you often have close interaction, for an extended time, to successful people. Last week I photographed Newt Gingrich (Republican, former Speaker of the House) and Dick Gephardt (Democrat, former House Majority Leader.)
It was inspiring to watch two gentlemen -- both brilliant, with strong personalities -- who manage to be civil and respectful of the colleague “across the aisle”. In this time of political rancor it’s wonderful to be reminded that there are people -- who have profoundly different, sincerely held, beliefs -- that respectfully manage to negotiate to common ground.

In addition to regular assignments, this year DragonCon asked for some more creative shots. Excellent! So, for fun I focused on creative composition and some techniques using neutral density filters and very slow shutter speeds. Here are a few favorites. Love to hear what you think.
