Here, my guitar & I, under a star filled sight 🌌 on the island of "Tall Trees🌲 Rough Seas" 🌊 makes the melody of this West Coast retreat 🇨🇦 Though to me, once "home sweet" - are now nostalgic memories. Sunsets are some of the most suspenseful & rewarding moments in nature landscape photography for me.

Continually adjusting my camera settings to catch fading light, all while finding a way to capture the vibrance, beauty, tone & allure of a sun disappearing fast over the edge of the horizon.

Every moment in a sunset feels so immediate & intense … every minute becomes so important as you wonder if the crescendo of colours reached its climax 3 minutes ago? … or if the ‘best’ is yet to come …

As I wait and watch the colours & mood of the horizon evolve, nature reminds reminds me that nothing is permanent in the ever changing ebb & flow of life:

The sun rays & sea sprays, the wisdom & strength of tall trees still standing, and the grace of those fallen in the wind long ago. The power of the tides crashing onto sharp rocks until they become smooth & soft like the calming hue of a star filled night.

As the sun sets on the edge of the horizon in front of me, the glowing moon rising over a treeline silhouette behind me … that’s when I feel most thankful for the day & excited for tomorrow.

Sometimes we just need to remind each other of it. To get back to nature - our roots - can feel so intimidating at first. Once you are really there again - it feels so amazing!

🌞 I love seeing how nature brings out that 'Larger-Than-Life' survival side in us! 🏕 ADVENTURE keeps me fit & the wilderness is a gym that's always free & waiting for you whenever you need it!🏔 If you want to push your mind & body past the limits you thought possible - what better a way then at the mercy of the elements in the beautiful great outdoors !? 🌊🏄‍♀️ 🌲🏂

Nature offers some of the best lessons & opportunities for growth .... evolution ... outside ourselves & within. As challenging as life can be ... to me ... the adventures have always been worth it!

🏝 If you are a nature lover - Fitness outdoors likely comes naturally … But even if you aren't - with time - you may just find yourself falling in love with being active in nature ... After all ... It's part of our primal 😉
