Goooood morning APS fam!
I’ve gone back and forth about just going live to share some updates, but I need to write it out, to process.
This will be long, please stick with me 💛

Back in September, a lot of lives forever changed. A LOT! 💜🥺💜
and one of the ways I knew that I could honor Jen was to take on the sessions she had scheduled so that her family wouldn’t have to bare the burden of refunding everyone.
I also vowed to take on the editing of her previously shot sessions.
I GREATLY underestimated what a task this would be.
This was all in the middle of photographers busy season, and we managed. We got through a bulk of the sessions (I’m still capturing her sessions that were spaced out) and those sweet babies that had Jen locked in for their first year.

Let’s talk her previously shot sessions.
Whoa….just WHOA!! Miguel worked so hard with me to get access to Jens work. Nothing was saved on her Computer, or externals….she had a system, that I THINK I figured out, but it wasn’t helpful 🤪
So we resorted to her cards.
26 to be exact. 26 memory cards that belonged to one of the heaviest shooters I know 😉 so we’re talking THOUSANDS of images. Unedited, untitled images. That I did my best to sort by date, and that was about 95% effective.
THEN…mid October, my computer died. Mid busy season, mid all of this mess, I had to completely change operating systems and start over. Then I had external storage issues and had to swap them out THREE times.
People start reaching out and I make lists and try to tackle and get overwhelmed, and have to pause. Then the cycle begins again. 😢

Initially others offered to help, but half the battle was getting them uploaded and sorted.
I’ve always been a very stubborn/independent soul, so accepting help was hard.
But then January came and I did accept some help. I sent a few galleries to others to be edited, and when I got them back, I had to re-edit them 🥺 So I’m just going to plug away at them the best I can.
But I think I’m going to try this in a new way.
I’m just going to start from the beginning and work my way through the galleries.
I KNOW most everyone has been MORE than patient.
REST ASSURED. If I have your gallery on this computer, I WILL do all in my power to get them to you.
Here’s the update on this:
💜June sessions, Jen mentioned numerous times that she was caught up through June, and I’ve had a few message me about educator minis. I’m sorry, but I can’t fine them anywhere 😭😭
💜July-Sept I am just going to slowly get through them in order. I know I’ve told others previously that I’d work on theirs, but it gets overwhelming. I have messages here, on my page, on my personal page and even to my phone…..which I for sure don’t mind however people choose to reach out…it just gets overwhelming over here navigating it all.
I’ll post updates here AND on my page (BYP Studios) as I finish galleries that I don’t know the owner of.
I am honored to edit your sessions, BUT if you want it quicker and you have the ability to edit or have them edited, I can upload the unedited jpegs for you.

If I edit your session it will come from BYP studios.

💜 sessions on Zenfolio / these are sessions that Jen shot and delivered before she left us. You have until March to get them downloaded. I’m sorry, I can’t help with videos or photobooth stuff or USB’s she owed from a year ago, or all the other random things I’ve been messaged about. If your gallery is not on Zenfolio, I cannot get it. The people pleaser in me wants to fix it all, but I just can’t. 🥺 if your gallery is there but you’re unable to download, the only thing I can offers is to ensure downloading is enabled.

My only hope is that I’m honoring Jen well, and making her proud.

Me and Jennifer Angel always motivated and pushed eachother. After watching this documentary i now get what it means to create legacy for your self, for your name, for family and for your life. When Jen passed there was a number of people that went out and got 💜 tattoos, hashtags like and I am sure theres more…. IT BECAME Jens “red banana”. Comment Below and post pic or your Tattoo and comment why you did it. You will see in those stories Jens Legacy. We are currently working on 3 scholarships, some grants and going to work with some organizations to give back in Jens honor. We are Jens Angels, she created and defined legacy right in front of my eyes and continues to movate be to be better.
I don’t know about me but makes me want to create and define my legacy and honor.

What will you known for? As of now Ill be Jens Angel.

Goooood morning beautiful people!!!!

It has come to our attention that some of you have not downloaded the galleries previously sent by Jen.
Then panic set in when some realized that the site Jen used for delivering galleries, was no longer active. 😭

First of all, I want to personally apologize for not thinking to advise you all sooner you download your images. As I fellow photographer, I KNOW this was a paid service she had, and I KNEW it would eventually end….but these last 4 months have been a whirlwind 🥺 and it honestly slipped my mind.

With that said; Miguel and I have worked together to get her site back up and running!! 🙌🏼💜🙌🏼

BUT…. IT IS TEMPORARY!!!! You have until March 1st 2023!!! (That’s almost 60 days)

So please PLEASE if you have galleries from over the years delivered from Jen. PLEASE go download them.
Even if you think you downloaded them already, even if you know you downloaded them already…..download them again!!!

And print them!!!! They don’t have to be giant pieces of wall art, they don’t have to be canvas.
Print all the 4x6’s and assemble albums!!!!
Have fun sorting through the memories you captured on those days, and print them!!!!
The average lifespan of a digital file is only 10ish years. So please print them!!!!! 💜

I’ll have more updates later regarding unedited sessions and such. But I’d like to give this post some time to be seen and soak in!!!! 💜📷💜📷💜

This was the first wedding me and Jennifer Angel shot. We literally went there and just acted like we knew what we were doing. We did that alot in journey of life together. From buying our first home and redoing our hardwood floors to raising our 3 daughters and everything in between….. we just acted like we knew what we were doing. We did alot of crazy s**t together, some worked out some didn’t buts its because we werent scared of FAILING… we were scared of not living life to the fullest and taking a risk. A chance on US.

The last conversation i had with her i told her to take a look around see how far we made it in life and all the amazing things we have accomplished and experienced together. Im proud of her, im proud of us Jennifer. I love that you always went along with my crazy ideas…. Like this like this one below- F**K IT charge them $500 so you can get that lense you need and see what happens.

These are the results. Not bad for the first time. She got better and better, the business grew and grew and 8 years flew by shooting hundreds of weddings and thousands of people. Your heart was in it showed in every way, shape, form, relationship, you have left on this earth.

You are truly our Angel
We love you and miss you so so much.

This is a fundraiser for the Angel family!!!

Ok…I kept waiting until I have time to edit more of my own images from the Halo Farm, but time is getting away from me and I wanted to get sharing this!!!!
So a cell phone image of one of the trees will have to do 😉
If you’ve ever been to Halo Farm, you know it’s loaded with amazing scenery, and if you’ve never been there…you’re in for a treat! 💜 (you can message me for the address if you aren’t familiar with where it’s located)

I’m running this Fall Mini Fundraiser to benefit the Angel family just like Jen has done for others in the past.💜

Hey APS fam!
Stacey here! This may be wordy, but stick with me!
I just wanted to touch base with y’all and provide some updates 💜

As you know, I’ve committed to taking on the unfinished work Jen left behind.
That includes rescheduling and honoring the sessions she had scheduled. And getting her already shot/unedited galleries completed and delivered!
My hope was to eliminate or at-least minimize the burden of refunding all those funds that the Angel family could really use right now.
You have all been so amazing to trust me and indeed the refunds have been minimal.
I’ve been connected with Jens calendar which is supposed to sync with her booking site. Some have, some have not. 🙃
I *believe* I have reached everyone, but if not…please don’t hesitate to reach out to me here, or on my business page (BYP Studios)
If you have reached out and we haven’t finalized something, again; don’t hesitate to message again, I’m sorta drowning in messages between the 3 platforms, so reminders from you are very welcomed 💜

With that said. Here’s where I’m at!
Keep in mind, this time of year is THEE busiest for photographers (think tax season for accountants)

Sessions dating back to June (through Sep 3) that have been captured by Jen, but not yet delivered: I have 2 dozen cards to upload and sort through, then have edited. (I DO have other photographers on board to help, but the initial process is the most tedious)
While I can’t promise a timeline, I can promise every effort will be made to have those sessions delivered.

Sessions previously scheduled yet not completed: if we haven’t already spoken and scheduled you, please reach out. Jens busy schedule tacked with my own workload has the calendar full, but we WILL work it out 💜☺️💜

Sunday October 16 4-7pm
Come on out anytime, bring your donation (cash or check made to Miguel Angel)
for a fall Mini session!
These will be about 5-10 minutes each (the farm is full of sets, so we’ll pick 2 favs) and you’ll receive an online gallery of 5-10 images 💜
