I could sit here all day and tell you why I THINK you should come. But I'd rather you hear it from the photographers who have ACTUALLY attended.

Because maybe you're nervous.

Apparently the secret to finding your husband on Tinder is making sure he shows up to the first date with a center console full of your favorite snacks 💅🏼

Because that's exactlyyyyy how Ryleigh + Jarrid's story started!

Somewhere between that first date and the summer of 2022, Jarrid realized he was being loved + supported in ways he didn't even know were possible.

Meanwhile, Ryleigh had already started practicing signing her name as Ryleigh Johnson lol. Sooooo I'd say she knew a little sooner 😂

And as of June 6, 2026, Ryleigh Johnson is officially official 🫶🏼

A little reminder for my photographer friends: give yourself time to PLAY on wedding days.

Not everything has to be photographed the way you've always photographed it. Move things around. Find a weird patch of light. Put the details somewhere unexpected (cough cough in the lake lol). Try the idea you're not entirely sure is going to work. And get creative.

Some of my favorite images I've created this year have come from giving myself an extra few minutes to slow down and ask, what else could I do here?

Sam + Gavin's details were one of those moments.

I could have photographed their invitation suite somewhere inside and called it a day. Instead, I grabbed a few flowers, headed outside, found this little puddle near the lake, and started playing.

I was driving up the shore today, and as I passed Palisade, I couldn't stop smiling.

This photo was from Danielle + Ryan's wedding two weeks ago, and when I tell you it was perfect, I mean start to finish - perfection 🤌🏼

Their day was the most wonderful mix of celebrating with their family + friends, while still finding time to sneak away, adventure (Danielle made hiking in heels look EASY 😅), and get some epic North Shore photos along the way.

Truly a dream wedding. And yes, I cried leaving them because their day was THAT wonderful and I was genuinely sad it was over lol. They were the definition of creating a day that felt like them, surrounded by people who showed up ready to celebrate the heck out of them. There was so much love + support all day long, and it was such an honor to be a part of.

A little vendor spotlight 🤍 A forever favorite - ! Time and time again, they show up with the most incredible designs, and they’re just the sweetest humans on planet earth.

Alissa was onsite for this wedding at Three Points Lodge earlier this summer as we celebrated Sam & Gavin, and the entire day was flawlessssss from start to finish. From Sam’s bridal bouquet and the boutonnieres for the guys to the gorgeous ceremony set-up and reception design, every detail was stunning 🤌🏼

I could go on and on about this team and what they create. They're a 10/10 team to work with and I can't recommend them enough. If you’re looking for a florist team you can trust, these are your girls!

Today we're celebrating Caleigh + Grady and in Duluth and I can't wait to see their vision come to life. Plus, one of my past couples (heyyyy Taylor & Joe) will be there as guests, so I already know it's gonna be a partayyyyy 🥳

The best week of the year 🫶🏼 One week ago today, we wrapped up our 3rd annual North Shore Workshop, and it was phenomenal. The attendees, the shoots, the education? 10/10. These Workshops are a huge investment for everyone involved, and I can't thank each vendor, model, friend, and family member enough. These events are all hands on deck, and it's the greatest honor to share one of my favorite places with the coolest photographers, who turn into the greatest friends. This is only the tiniest glimpse into the week. I have so much more to share, and I can't wait to clue you in over the coming weeks. To everyone who attended this year (or in years past), I love you dearly and am so grateful for each and every one of you 🤍
