I photograph weddings with the understanding that these images will live far beyond the day itself.

They’ll be pulled out on anniversaries. Shared during quiet moments. Passed down to people who weren’t there but will one day want to understand where their story began.

That perspective shapes how I photograph. I’m always looking for the moments that will still matter years from now.

The way someone looks at you when you’re not paying attention.
The emotion you didn’t realize was visible.
The connections that don’t repeat themselves.

This isn’t just about documenting what happened, it’s about preserving what it felt like.

One of the biggest things couples tell me after their wedding day is how quickly everything moved.

That’s why I care so much about building thoughtful timelines with breathing room built in. Buffer time may not sound exciting while planning, but it completely changes how your wedding day feels.

A calm timeline creates space for real moments, emotional connection, and photos that feel natural instead of rushed.

Eloping along Minnesota’s North Shore is about more than the views, though Lake Superior definitely shows off.

It’s about choosing a wedding day that feels grounded, intentional, and deeply personal.

The North Shore offers so much variety in a small stretch of coastline. Rocky overlooks, quiet forest trails, dramatic cliffs, and intimate shoreline spots all within a short drive.

It’s perfect for couples who want an experience focused on presence rather than production.

Elopements here tend to move slower. There’s room to breathe, to explore, to take photos without rushing, and to actually feel the weight and beauty of the commitment you’re making.

Whether it’s just the two of you or a small group of your closest people, the North Shore creates space for a wedding day that feels honest and meaningful.

If you’re dreaming of an elopement in Duluth or up the North Shore, I’d love to help you plan a day that feels natural, calm, and true to you.

A calm wedding day usually includes:

Extra buffer time
Intentional first looks
Sunset portraits
Private vows
Not overpacking the schedule

The best weddings I photograph aren’t rushed. They’re intentional.

If you’re planning your Duluth or Twin Cities wedding timeline and want it to feel relaxed, I help all my couples build one that protects your experience.

Eight hours of wedding photography is often the perfect balance.

It gives space for:
Getting ready moments
Ceremony
Family photos
Portraits
Most of your reception

Without rushing. Without feeling like the day is being documented on a timer.

If you’re planning a Minnesota wedding and trying to decide between 6, 8, or 10 hours, I always tell couples to think about how they want the day to feel, not just what fits in a spreadsheet.

If you’re unsure what you need, send me a message and I’ll help you think it through.

There’s something about Madeline Island that keeps pulling me back every season.

Maybe it’s the way everything slows down once you step off the ferry. Or how Lake Superior seems to stretch endlessly in every direction. Or the quiet, steady feeling the island holds that makes it such a meaningful place to begin a marriage.

Elopements on Madeline Island have a rhythm that feels different from anywhere else.

They’re unhurried, intentional, and centered on what matters most. There’s space to breathe, to explore, and to actually experience your wedding day instead of rushing through it.

I’m so excited to be photographing elopements here again this season and to walk alongside couples who are choosing something a little more personal and grounded.

If you’re dreaming of an intimate elopement on Madeline Island or anywhere along Lake Superior, I would love to photograph your day in a way that feels like you.

Getting engaged feels so magical, wrapped in warmth, family, and celebration. And then suddenly, once the excitement settles, there’s this quiet realization: we’re actually planning a wedding now.

If you’re in that space, here’s what I want you to hear early on: you don’t need to have everything figured out yet. You don’t need a venue booked, a color palette chosen, or a perfectly curated vision board.

The most meaningful wedding days I photograph aren’t rushed or overplanned — they’re rooted in intention. They’re created by couples who give themselves time to think about how they want the day to feel, who they want beside them, and what truly matters.

Your wedding doesn’t need to impress anyone. It just needs to reflect you. And when you build it from that place, everything else tends to fall into place naturally.

Engagement sessions are about so much more than having photos for your save-the-dates.

They’re an opportunity for us to get to know each other before your wedding day and for you to get comfortable in front of the camera.

Most couples tell me they’re a little nervous beforehand, but by the end of the session they realize it feels much more natural than they expected.

That comfort makes a big difference on your wedding day. When you already know what to expect and trust your photographer, you can relax and focus on enjoying the moment together.

Whether we’re exploring the shoreline in Duluth, walking through a favorite spot in the Twin Cities, or heading up the North Shore, engagement sessions are a meaningful way to begin telling the story of your wedding.

If you’re recently engaged and planning a Minnesota wedding, I’d love to connect and start planning your session ❤️

The getting ready portion of a wedding day is often one of the most emotional parts of the entire celebration, and it’s also one of the easiest moments to overlook when planning photography coverage.

Before the ceremony begins and before the day starts moving quickly, there’s a quiet window of time filled with anticipation. Your mom helping you into your dress. Your closest friends laughing together. The deep breath you take before everything begins.

These moments may feel small in the moment, but they often become some of the most meaningful photos in your gallery.
Photographing the getting ready portion of your wedding day isn’t just about details like your dress or shoes. It’s about capturing the beginning of the story and the people surrounding you as you step into marriage.

When couples are deciding how many hours of coverage they need, I always encourage them to think about the full story of the day, not just the ceremony and portraits.

If you’re planning a wedding in Duluth, the Twin Cities, or along the North Shore and want help building a timeline that preserves these moments, I’d love to connect.
