NYC in Black & White — Which One Speaks to You? 🖤🤍

Three views, one city, three very different moods:

1️⃣ The DUMBO Frame — Manhattan Bridge threading through the brick canyon of Washington St, with the Empire State Building peeking through the arch
2️⃣ Under the Bridge — Lower Manhattan and One World Trade, framed by the steel underbelly of the Brooklyn Bridge
3️⃣ The Old Pilings — Weathered remnants of Brooklyn's original piers standing guard over the skyline

Part of my ongoing NYC series — three ways of looking at the same city, from architecture to atmosphere to history.

👇 Drop a 1, 2, or 3 in the comments — which one is YOUR favorite? I'll be turning the winner into a featured print.

Under the Brooklyn Bridge — Manhattan Skyline 🌉

There's a moment, standing beneath the Brooklyn Bridge, where the steel above and the water below seem to frame the entire city in one breath. This black and white view captures Lower Manhattan — One World Trade Center rising above the rest — with a single contrail slicing across the sky like it was placed there on purpose.

Part of my ongoing NYC series, where I'm chasing the city's contrasts: steel and sky, stillness and motion, monochrome and light.

This piece is available as a museum-quality fine art print — perfect for a study, office, or any space that could use a little skyline drama.

Suspended between eras. 🌉

There's something about this angle — the raw industrial geometry of the Brooklyn Bridge's cables framing the glass-and-steel skyline of Lower Manhattan — that captures exactly why I love shooting cities. Two centuries of ambition, one frame.
This fine art print is now available in Paper, Canvas, Metal, and Acrylic formats — perfect for a home office, living room feature wall, or as a statement gift for the New York lover in your life.

Monochrome lines and timeless NYC architecture. 🏙️✨

There’s something timeless about looking down Washington Street in DUMBO—the way the massive steel towers of the Manhattan Bridge frame the Empire State Building peeking through the archway. Striping away the color brings out the raw geometry, shadows, and industrial history of the city.

💬 When you think of classic New York, does your mind picture it in black and white or full color? Let me know below!

Tamarindo Beach, Costa Rica. Golden hour. A storm coming in. Two surfers who decided the waves could wait.

The wet sand turned into a mirror — and for about three minutes, the Pacific looked like this.

"Tamarindo Sunset" is available now as a signature metal print from Vista Nomad Photography. Metal is the only format that captures what this image actually feels like — the luminous reflection, the dramatic contrast between gold horizon and dark storm clouds, the depth in the wet sand texture.

Available in multiple sizes. Instant digital download also available for DIY printing.

This photographers photo has been published in five major travel publications including Travel & Leisure and Lonely Planet.

Bring Costa Rica home.

Guide to IcelandVISIT ICELAND - Travel like a local!Iceland Travel

🌈 The street that made me stop walking and start shooting.
I've photographed across 40+ countries — ancient temples, volcanic landscapes, hidden coastal villages — but sometimes it's a simple city street that catches you completely off guard.
This is Skólavörðustígur, Reykjavík's iconic rainbow street. I turned a corner on a crisp Icelandic autumn afternoon, the sky brooding overhead, autumn trees just beginning to turn — and there it was. A river of colour cutting straight through the heart of the city.
Iceland has this remarkable ability to surprise you. Even in the urban moments. Even between the waterfalls and the lava fields and the midnight sun. There's always something that makes you reach for your camera.
This photo captures what I love most about travel photography — not just the grand landscapes, but the unexpected human moments in extraordinary places. The man photographing. The couple on the bench. The ordinary afternoon made extraordinary by colour and light.

🌊 Some places don't look real. Ha Long Bay is one of them.
Standing above the bay as dusk settled over the water, I watched the limestone towers disappear into the haze while the emerald-green water glowed like something out of a dream. Traditional junk boats drifted silently between 500-million-year-old karst peaks — one of the world's great UNESCO World Heritage landscapes, completely unhurried, completely alive.
This is one of my favorite images from Vietnam — and now it's available as a fine art print for your home. 🖼️
The jade-green and gold tones look absolutely stunning as a large-format metal print — if you've been looking for that one statement piece that stops people in their tracks, this is it.
✨ Available now as an instant digital download — print at any size, any lab, anywhere in the world.

Abandoned in 1973, left to the mercy of the Atlantic winds and volcanic ash. 🌑✈️ There’s something deeply humbling about standing next to the wreckage of the Solheimasandur DC-3. It’s a reminder of how quickly nature reclaims what we leave behind.

I captured this moment to bring a piece of Iceland’s raw, moody energy back home. Now, you can hang this same perspective on your wall. 🖼️✨

Vista Nomad Photography brings these remote corners of the world into your living space. High-quality, gallery-grade prints are now available.
