We're continuing our 2026 Fresh Off The Clock SWVA Preseason Position Rankings with the Top 5 Offensive Linemen in Southwest Virginia!

📌Before we begin, a few things:
These rankings are meant to create conversation and highlight athletes across our region.

📌We know we're going to miss players. We know we're going to make mistakes. That's part of covering some many counties and thousands of athletes.

📌If you believe a player was left off a list, drop their name, school, and Hudl link in the comments. We'll review every nomination and corrections or adjustments can absolutely be made.

📌No negative comments about players, coaches, schools, or communities will be tolerated. Healthy debates and respectful discussions are welcome. Personal attacks are not.

📌Rankings are based on film, production, accolades, projections, and information available to us at the time of posting.

📌Coaches, players, and fans are encouraged to nominate athletes throughout the series. The more information we receive, the better these rankings become.

David vs Goliath
(another battle Hollywood couldn't write)

For the first official game of the War Eagles 2026 season they were not taking a soft toss approach. For the second season in a row Class 3A Lord Botetourt was the opening chapter for the season. From the lightening delaying the start of the game and rain, boring was not on the menu! The War Eagle Nation packing the visitor seats and LB on the home side, kickoff was about to start a battle the likes of which is usually written about in playoff games!

Physical punishment in the trenches and both teams going to the air in less than favorable conditions, the War Eagles were leading 6-0. Who wanted it more would determine the winner of this game. The thunder rolled and a flash of lightening would add a delay in the game til 10:45pm.

Cavaliers up 9-6 it was looking like the "goliath" in this story was going to make a comeback. BUT what was that? More thunder? No ! It was those unstoppable Warrior hearts of The War Eagles !!!

With 3 minutes and some change left they drove down the field and finished it off with 6! 12-9 War Eagles! 35-ish seconds left and the Cavaliers with an opprotunity, The War Eagles put up a wall! Shutting down multiple pass attempts from the cavaliers and pushing them back against the goal line and with a big sack from the War Eagle D, ended the war!

History MADE!!!
Some fans say SHOCKWAVES could be felt all through the Cumberland District and Region D!😉
