Spent Tuesday at Brannon Monument Co. installing a new Decor / Sales wall in their Marion showroom. Thanks, Mike Brannon, and Stasia Brannon. Love working with you guys.

I installed the final image in the Brannon Monument Co., Veterans Memorial Wall Friday. The main image is printed on wall paper. It is 112sq feet and is framed with a custom molding. It is complimented by 6 - 20×30 images, 3 on each side. They are printed on canvas, stretched and suspended in a box frame with a 3/16 reveal.

At Brannon Monument Co. today with Dave Linden. Installing wall decor consisting of a wall mural of the Veterans Memorial Plaza Dubuque, IA. When complete the installation will also include 6- 20 x 30 canvas prints of various areas in the plaza. A fun project to create for Mike and Stasia Brannon. Watch for updates.

We are working up some images that I took at the Veterans Memorial here in Dubuque for our friends at Conlon Construction. I thought I would recognize Veterans Day by posting a couple of preliminary images. This is a beautiful monument and tribute to our Vets.

When the University of Dubuque called on Design Photography to photograph their recently installed Dobson Organ, Dobson Pipe Organ Builders I had no idea that the biggest part of the job would be capturing the inner workings. That included not only the area immediately behind the visible part of the organ, but the three pipe chambers, and various other areas where more than 3000 pipes are installed. Kudos to Conlon Construction Co. for reconstructing the University of Dubuque Heritage Center to make room for this incredible work of art.

A fun and challenging project working in really tight spaces. We still have lots of work to do on the many photographs we took, but here are a few teasers including one that shows me creating some highlights just give you a little perspective.

Congratulations to our good friends at WHKS & Co. for winning the 2021 ACEC/Iowa Engineering Excellence Awards Competition. Their great design and engineering work on the Nora Springs (Good Morning Nora Springs) pedestrian bridge across the Shell Rock River was entered in the Special Projects Category and took the “Grand Place Award“ (1st place in category).

I love to photograph great projects like this one, thanks to WHKS for trusting Design Photography with the task of recording the final product.

One of our suppliers of video products recently introduced a line of motion slide shows templates that lend themselves well to teasers and new product intros... had to try one out for the introduction of a photo book.

In late summer we finally were able to photograph the Dubuque Community School District's new Aquatic Center. A great project designed by Frk Architects Engineers with engineering by Counsilman Hunsaker engineering.

It goes without saying that I am not very good at posting things to our page. In an attempt to improve, I thought I would post a before and after of this image I just finished retouching. This is the University Foundation Building in Iowa City. I considered not taking this angle because it was such a mess but the lines and building materials were strong enough that I decided it would be worth the time to clean it up.
