We were walking down the hillside toward the lake, winding down the session for the evening. The sun was sinking. Then I saw it.
There, tucked into the trees, was an old picnic table caught in a perfect, filtered beam of golden sunlight. Hovering just above, a swarm of gnats had caught the light, transforming into a cloud of tiny, dancing twinkle lights. It was pure magic.
“Hey Baileigh, go lay on that picnic table…..”
