Some of you may have been wondering why I haven't posted much lately. Well, it's because last Summer, my life took an entirely different direction...at least the business side of my life! I have been using Young Living Essential Oils for three years now, and they have changed things SO much for our family! We are so much more healthy, with less missed school and work! Our emotions have a better handle on them, and we're sleeping better at night. With four kiddos who all have their own special needs, some worse than others (and three of those four having been adopted), I am so thankful for ways to deal with some of the BIG emotions that come down the pike, in a more natural way, not having to always resort to meds.
But last Summer, my team leader invited me to do a 90 Day Launch for my oils business, along with about 300 other people. That rocked my world! It started with 21 Days of Prayer and then went into getting teamed up with someone else in the group to work with, be accountable with, pray with. And challenge after challenge came from our leader, to complete tasks and set goals. I went to a retreat that our leader put on for some of the people on her team, and I came away from that and the 90 Day Challenge, learning SO much! I came away with a FIRE lit under me, and a desire to really make a go of doing the business.
I had kept getting these little nudges from God that felt like He was saying "What if I asked you to give up your photography?". WHAT??? No way! Photography was my passion! But, boy did He have some great things in store for me, both in personal growth, and in time, there will be more time freedom and financial freedom. In the past several months, He has really stretched me WAY out of my comfort zone, shaping me and molding me into this person that sometimes I don't recognize! But I'm glad! He is making me into someone who is a leader...someone who is learning to really care about others, instead of more about myself.
He is giving me opportunities to pray with and for people in very specific ways, and it's blowing me away to see how He answers those prayers! Talk about growing my faith!!! Man! It's just incredibly humbling to pray for someone and then see God work!
Anyway, I said all that to say this: I am not taking any new clients right now. I will occasionally do sessions for previous clients if and when I am able. I love my clients and I love being able to create beautiful memories for them, but I don't want to do them any injustice by not being able to give full attention to their session, and not being able to complete their photos in a timely manner because I have other things going on. I have been SO SO very blessed to be able to do photography for as long as I have, and I'm so thankful for each one of you who have supported me in this! Especially when I wasn't very good!!!
I would also like to put this out there, if you'll indulge me. If you are interested in learning about essential oils, I am always doing online FB classes to teach about the oils, and I'm always up for doing in person classes as well. I am not going to be that pushy, salesy person that is constantly annoying people with posts every single day about oils. But I DO make sure that people are able to take advantage of some of the great deals that are offered through Young Living from time to time, and even the deals that I offer when someone purchases a starter kit.
Even if you're not really "into" essential oils, could I ask a HUGE favor of you? Would you be willing to share a post that I share on here? And if we're friends on Facebook, can I get your permission to tag you in the post that I will be putting on my personal page?
