If you’re reading this… you made it out of 2020. That will forever be something to celebrate! Whatever you went through in the past twelve months use it as a reference point to help continue to guide you throughout this fascinating life. Many have lost more than they could’ve imagined while others have gained so much. Wherever you fall in that spectrum, keep on swimming.

For me, and I’m sure many can agree that 2020 has definitely been nothing short of lessons on lessons. Forcing time to be slowed down and fully directing my attention to what my priorities should be. Also truly understanding the blatant fact that nothing in this lifetime is guaranteed. Whether it’s friendships, health, career etc. nothing is written in stone. Understanding that fact forces one to look at life in a different angle. Even as a photographer, that angle was a challenge for me to grasp. I’m still working on it though.

As a student of life, I’m always grateful of the lessons I’ve learned and will continue to learn. However, if anyone has a syllabus or curriculum written out for 2021? Let me just take a peek at it.. . I’m tryna see something.

Looking forward to continuing sharing content and unfolding what JDP has in store for 2021.

Every Princess and Queen in the making should frequently feel like one, and especially on their birthdays! Layla had no problem bringing forth her royal personality during this JDP photoshoot. Her vibrant energy made my job easy, and of course what’s a photoshoot if you can’t grab a couple pictures with your loved ones.
