I have fallen in love with capturing the essence of a moment. I love to create images that are authentic, artistic, and that capture emotion. Whenever I’m photographing a session, I like to watch and listen to my surroundings. Observing human nature and interaction is where I capture perfectly imperfect moments. t to capture. I love the fun, quirky, nose-scrunching, playful moments. I also want to capture the intimate ones. Some of my favorite images I have fallen in love with are the ones that move me. When I sit down to edit a session, I’m drawn to images that make me pause and stir something in my heart. My approach to any session or wedding day is to capture the true essence of who you are together and make sure that it is documented for those who come after you to see and feel it too. I fell in love with photography when I was 16 years old, I chose it as a subject in high school back in Australia where I’m from. I used an old Pentax camera and Kodak Gold film to start my newfound hobby and that’s how I learned. I found a passion for telling an entire story with one frame. At the time my favorite photographer was Annie Leibovitz. I found her images so forgiving. They spoke to me. I was fortunate enough to visit one of her exhibitions at a museum. I knew right then I wanted to keep doing it for the rest of my life. My biggest inspiration is photographing the mood. I ask myself, what do I want to remember about this moment in time? I love shooting in natural light, I will always follow the light. Some of my favorite images are just of my kids doing everyday ordinary things, which I believe is special. My job is beyond amazing. I get to meet incredible people, capturing their best moments with an artistic flair that speaks straight to the heart. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, I bring a touch of international flavor, having grown up in Melbourne, Australia, and originally from Iran before settling here 17 years ago. But let's talk about the fun stuff! I'm all about fashion - love expressing myself through outfits. And food? Total fanatic! Always exploring new recipes and, let's be honest, thoroughly enjoying every bite. Night owl? You bet! Feel free to ring me up at midnight - I'm wide awake. And speaking of awake, I'm all about those family dance parties and indulging in a good nap whenever I can. Music and candles? Soul food and ambiance all the way. Travel? Absolutely! It's my reset button, whether discovering new places or revisiting old favorites. Above all, family is everything. My husband, my kids - they're my rock, constantly inspiring me to be the best version of myself.
