Lilac Buzz - 5/16/26

Here today, gone very soon! Lilacs are in bloom but they are so fleeting I wanted to catch them (and their amazing fragrance) before the heat blasts them this week. I guess this bumble was thinking the same thing!

What’s spring without a tulip photo? Of course, the day I was ready to photograph tulips it was raining. At least the raindrops add some life to this beautiful specimen! Love the unique coloring to this one!

Peeking Kit - 5/2/26

Recently, a friend told about an active fox den that had adorable kits and I was more than welcome to go check it out when I had time. My mom and I took a ride and we were able to find it, but the “active” den of 5 kits and a mother fox only had 1 kit out when we found it. But how can you resist that face as it was about to take a rest? So adorable! And thanks to my friend who shared the information! You know who you are!

I’ve been watching these saucer magnolias since March and finally I can highlight that intricate center of the beautiful magnolia blossom! I love the details that they show! Also these blooms are amazingly fragrant when you catch them at the right time!

The Cherry Bee - 4/18/26

It is so refreshing to see some trees in bloom! This cherry tree was full of blossoms and then I spotted the bumble bees fluttering about! They move pretty fast, but I was able to capture this fuzzy buzzer with its wings out, upside down holding onto a blossom! Ahh, spring!

Mr. Elusive - 3/28/26

Wood ducks are so elusive, so I was ecstatic to see this colorful male wood duck in amazing light and focus swimming to catch up to his mate. Twenty seconds of his swim made my week!
