I'm all smiles as I edit these photos. On Sunday, I met the Powers family, and let me tell you, they were such a blast to shoot! They were energetic, fun and full of laughs every step of the way!

I also want to point out that gorgeous woman in pink, Tara Powers... she's the one who designed my logo a year ago. I was so happy to finally thank her in person for her amazing artistic talent.

Some of us our lucky enough to have family nearby. For others it may take a bit of road trip to get together. But when your family decides to grab their passports and fly across the world to see you - you hold them close and take in every moment.

Ok, confession time...

I sat down last night ready to work on our family Christmas card only to realize I don't have a single photo of the six of us together from this year!

What?! How did this happen?

I kept meaning to book a session with one of my favorite photographer friends, but just kept putting it off. And as a mom (I'm sure many of you can relate), I'm always the one taking the pictures and rarely in any myself.

So, while it might be too late for that Christmas card, I'd still like to capture where we are as a family right now because frankly, time moves way too fast. I mean seriously, my oldest baby just turned 18 this month!
