Kind of chic to take a summer break 🤭

I’ve been off the Insta grid for a bit this summer, just soaking up the heat and sunshine and time with family and friends. I ended up taking a summer break from photography, sort of unintentionally, but just had a break from wedding and engagement sessions and it was just the refresh I needed. I’m excited and feeling creative as I head back into wedding season in just a few weeks.

The venue you choose matters, not just for housing guests but for photos too!

Are there good photo backdrops, will there be other buildings/distracting elements in the background, and what is the rain plan? Those are all good questions to think about when considering how your photographs will turn out at the venue.

It can be helpful to bring your photographer along on a walkthrough a month or few months prior to your wedding to ensure that you’re on the same page about where you want your photos to happen. At the same time, make sure to trust that your photographer has an eye to get the best lighting and framing for your images.

I’m all for twirls and running and throwing your fiancé over your shoulder for those fun movement poses, but goodness there is something so beautiful about those sweet classes poses where you’re just beaming with joy. Plus getting to show off that ROCK 💍

I’m a little behind on sharing everything from this spring so starting to play catch up! Just feeling so excited for Caleb and Kensley’s upcoming wedding this fall 🥰
