Y’all, I’m not gonna lie, there was a large portion of my adult life where I lived stuck in my own head. Overthinking everything. Carrying stress that wasn’t serving me or my family.

But somewhere along the way, I realized the life I truly crave isn’t built on perfection. For me, success looks a lot more like peace.

The quiet, ordinary moments that center my heart, mind, and soul:

• Family dinners around the table
• Tending to my garden
• Early morning Bible study before the house wakes up
• Sitting on the front porch with a French 75 while the kids play with their friends
• Coffee with Kellan at sunrise
• Collective worship
• Slow date days with my husband
• Long chats with Addisyn
• sweet cuddles with my youngest
• Watercolor painting
• Reading on the beach

The older I get, the more I realize it’s the “small” things that end up becoming the big things.

My sessions are more like a slow afternoon together — following you on a fun family day, walking through your favorite park, baking pancakes on a Saturday morning, or simply letting your kids be exactly who they are.

I’ll guide you when needed, but I’m mostly watching for the in-between. The hand squeezes. The laughter that wasn’t planned. The way your child reaches for you without thinking.

Somewhere along the way, it got loud.

The perfectly styled kitchens, the constant vacations, the Christmas trees stacked with presents… and suddenly it feels like you’re falling behind in a life you were never meant to compete in.

Comparison will always try to convince you that you’re missing something.
But let me be the one to remind you …you’re not.

The most meaningful legacy you can give your kids isn’t found in what you have… it’s found in how you show up.

Not perfect. Not polished. Just present.

Because the moments that matter most for them, were never asking for perfection, just you.

Spending time with my boys in the kitchen. Where they practically live in these days, is always a yes.

Today marked my very first … and I’m walking away completely energized for this new season of my couple and family sessions.

I spent two beautiful and intentional hours with these two, shooting rolls of film, capturing nostalgic snippets of them coming back from the market, cooking dinner side by side, doing their daily devotional, and even attempting a fitness TikTok that I already know is going to turn into some epic, joy-filled images.

But the most meaningful part of it all?
It wasn’t the film, or the light, or even the moments we captured.

It was the feeling of truly seeing them.

Of stepping into their rhythm long enough to understand the quiet in-between. The way they move together, laugh together, exist together. I didn’t just document their day… I left feeling like I had been trusted with a glimpse of their story.

And that’s exactly what these legacy sessions are meant to hold. 🤍
