Thanks to everyone who tuned in to KTWU last night to watch "An Oasis on the Prairie" and the two segments from "Prairie Women." Special thanks to those of you who called in to make a contribution or did so online (62 community-minded Kansans and one from Missouri). We raised almost $18,000 for ktwu11! Was great to hear those phones ringing! We had a great crew of friendly folks answering the phones. Some of them even made their own contributions as did some of those volunteering their time on the production crew! I especially appreciated the warm welcome I received from my former colleagues at KTWU who continue to persist and do their jobs as they cope with the loss of federal funding. This is how we pull together to preserve those elements of our society that we value.
