For 250 years, the American story has been shaped by men and women who believed the words of the Declaration of Independence were more than an aspiration. They believed that all people are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, among them Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, and that governments exist to secure those rights.

From the battlefields of the Revolution to distant shores in times of war, through moments of national trial and periods of remarkable progress, generations of Americans have fought, sacrificed, and served to preserve those principles at home and, when called upon, to help secure the freedom of others abroad. The nation's history has never been perfect, but it has been defined by the enduring conviction that liberty is worth defending and that the promise of those God-given rights should belong to every person.

As we mark 250 years of American independence, we remember not only the signing of a remarkable document, but the countless individuals whose courage, service, and sacrifice have carried its ideals from one generation to the next.

Happy Birthday to the GREATEST NATION THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN!!!

Over the last 250 years, the United States of America has been the global leader for individual rights and liberties the world over. At its founding in 1776, a document was written that would change the course of human history forever. The Declaration of Independence was an act of HIGH TREASON, punishable by Death. Our nation's founders knew they would be signing their own death warrants, and had the courage to do it anyway.

While some took this day to reflect upon the nation's sins, of which there are many, I choose to focus on the astounding achievements accomplished by every day Americans.
It was every day Americans that stormed the beaches of Normandy, won the battle of Iwo Jima, and fought off fascists and communists alike. It was every day Americans that invented electricity, the lightbulb, telecommunications, human flight and just a few short decades later, landed man on the moon.

America's greatness is founded on the principles of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. It is not built upon the warmth of collectivism but the freedom of rugged individualism. Americans take matters into their own hands, and through the chaos, we create results for all of mankind.

America was built on an idea, a belief that we are made in the image of our Creator to be free of unjust rule, and that all men are Created equal.

May God Bless our armed forces.

During research for Policy Exchange’s report,  Lessons from the Past, we found children being taught the ahistorical claim that Stonehenge was built by black people. Elsewhere, pupils learn radical and contested interpretations of the past: such as that the West African kingdoms, which sold other Africans to European slavers, were unaware of their role in the global slave trade. In one case, a membership organisation for subject experts has produced teaching resources describing the ge***al mutilation of slaves in ancient Rome as an early form of ‘gender transition’.
