With a very rainy weekend ahead, we’ve had to cancel this weekend’s Fall Mini-Sessions.

But there’s good news: we’ve added a new weekend!

Senior year is already moving fast.

Between classes, sports, activities, college applications, and everything else packed into this year, senior portraits are one of those things that can very easily get pushed to later. And then suddenly, later is here.

This is a great time of year to get them done. The weather is still beautiful, the light in the late afternoon is hard to beat, and there’s no need to squeeze a session into an already packed spring.

Senior sessions are relaxed and easy. We’ll spend a late afternoon outside around Dover or in the studio, and the goal is simply to make photographs that feel like you. Most seniors arrive a little unsure about being in front of the camera and leave surprised by how much fun they had.

I photograph seniors from Dover, Sherborn, Wellesley, Weston, Wayland, Needham, Natick, Medfield, Newton, and the surrounding towns.

If senior portraits are still sitting on your list, now is a very good time to cross them off.

Three families share the hour here on the property in Dover. Everyone hops in and out of the shots, the kids play, and the parents get to talk. No rushing, no stiff posing, just your family the way they are this fall. You go home with a private gallery of your favorites, and holiday cards if you want them. Sessions are $300 per family.

We are once again supporting A Place To Turn Food Pantry in Natick this year. Rather than ask for a donation, we ask each family to bring something from their needs list, found on their website.

Nobody is rushed. The photographs I end up loving most are almost always the ones nobody planned.

Class of 2027, the calendar is closing.

One senior, one September afternoon, and about an hour or two of walking and talking. That is the whole session. Most seniors show up nervous and leave asking when the gallery is ready.

Yearbook deadlines are sooner than you think, and the good light of early fall goes first. Link in bio to book, or send me a message and we will find a date.

Class of 2027, school starts in three weeks...

Nobody wants to think about senior photos in August. But the early fall dates are the ones with the light everyone actually wants, and they go before Labor Day most years.

Getting siblings to hug for a photo is a negotiation. Getting them to mean it is the job.

Patience, a little luck, and we had both this day. Sibling portraits only get more valuable as the years go by. The kids grow, the dynamic shifts, and one day this photo is the one everyone fights over.
