Raise your hand if your Camera roll is 95% your children 🙋‍♀️

We watch our babies grow up and are so fortunate to have phones to snap all the little moments as we go, but out of all those phone pics you’ve taken of your kids… how many are you in? Or your Spouse? Or even crazier - how about all of your together?!

We capture every smile and laugh, funnny moment and milestone but while our babies grow up we aren’t capturing our lives with our children.

One day an image is all there is, memories fade, make sure you’re in frame with your babies. Sure they’re just crawling around now but blink once and they’re running, blink again and they’re writing their name… if you dare blink again they’re graduating and starting their own journey in this life ❤️

The One Thing I Regret Most About My Wedding Day 😬

Don’t get me wrong - I loved the Day, I love the Man, and I cherish every Image and Memory

BUT

I should have hired a Planner/Coordinator, for many reasons.

For those who don’t know, I got married in Covid 😷 times, probably because I was bored and needed something to do (stick with me because I know that sounds bad!)

♥️ Dating: October 2017
♥️ Engaged: August 2018
♥️ First Child: November 2019

I had nothing stressing me out in the year 2020 obviously, so around June I said to my then Fiancé “Let’s make it Official, I’m thinking September…” Of course he so graciously agreed, his major responsibility was to show up with the cake 🎂(which, by the way, was the WRONG Cake - but we can save that for a story time later down the road)

🗓️ 3 months of planning go by, adhering to a strict budget, this was my Jam - honestly I thrive in this kind of stressful environment 🤣

The Big Day arrives and no matter how much planning, organizing, and prayer… it was too much. A Completely DIY wedding, plus getting ourselves ready - I think it’s safe to say we were running some 30-60 minutes behind 🕰️ I’m Pretty sure my dashing Fiancè thought I’d hightailed it out of there with our child!

If there was one thing I could change or do differently I would, at the VERY least, hire a Day of Coordinator 👩🏼‍💻 to help with the decorating and scheduling. After all it was my Wedding Day and when I think back the two things I remember the most are:

1. The stress getting everything ready 🥵
2. My Fiancé’s Magic Mike moves in front of our parents 🫣😂♥️🤤

My advice to my Couples is to make sure at the end of it all, you can enjoy one of the biggest days of your life! You’ve promised all of your tomorrows to your best friend 🥰

When Erin reached out to book her Soulmate Session she had no idea what her Boyfriend had in store (and honestly neither did I until he text me a few days later!)

Soulmate Session, turned Surprise Proposal, turned Engagement Session - this was such a fun one and when that rainbow turned up I was like a kid in the Candy Store! 

I loved learning more about Erin and Mike’s relationship, turns out they just finished packing up their house to move literally RIGHT before they caught their flight out to Anna Maria 🏝️ for this Session and a little getaway! 

Ladies, when your boyfriend says to book the shoot - it’s always a safe bet to book that nail appointment too 😉

Three Tips for a Successful Maternity Session 👇🏻

Whether you’re a Photographer or Client, here are the Top 3 things you need to keep in mind for your next Maternity Session 😍

✨ Temperature - it’s super Important you stay comfortable for your session, in Florida typically it’s just too hot to be in your third trimester all year long so keep the outfits simple and flowy and pace yourself. Bring your Husbands along to help you up off the ground because odds are the best shots will be the least comfortable ones 😍

✨ Location - Make sure you choose a location with a bathroom, because let’s be honest… if you’ve been 7/8 month pregnancy before I don’t even need to say it! And if your dream location doesn’t feature a bathroom, just don’t even look at water that day. Dehydration is key 😅 (I’m obviously kidding please stay hydrated Mommas)

✨ Family - It’s 100% all about you Momma and we focus on that but you’ll never regret having the whole Family tag along, and don’t stress about your little ones - they do not have to be well behaved, I LOVE to capture personality and boy do the little ones have a lot of that ♥️ And trust me, you’ll love seeing those candid shots of your silly babies! So relax and enjoy your session, I promise the kids are doing great!

Worried about your kids on your next Family Session? Here’s a Hack:

Don’t be. We’re here to capture memories!

• Your child does not need to say cheese
• Your child does not need to be still
• Your child does not need to “calm down”

We love your kids the way they are 💕 We know you love your babies the way they are - when you’re looking at your Family photos 10 years down the road don’t you want to remember their personality, not just their smile?

So if you’re pushing off those family photos because you don’t feel like your littles could handle it… it’s time to reach out to your favorite photographer because your missing moments that could be time capsuled forever.
