Dinky Duke was my NaMoPaimo Project for February. I joined Heather Bullach's Black Oil Class and used this guy for it. He had broken his ear tips, so I took the rest of his ears off and sculpted an entire new set. My client wanted ears in the forward position, so that's what he got. He is painted in black oils, details were done in acrylic, pastels, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, and Charcoal. He was sealed in Testor's Dullcote and his hooves and eyes were glossed.

He is sold out.
Took some time to finish this guy out but he's finally done and turned out quite nice if I do say so myself 😁. He is a big boy and being solid cast, he got to be quite heavy. He was finished using pastels, acrylics, charcoal pencils, colored pencils, and watercolor pencils. He was sealed in several layers of clear acrylic matte sealer. His eyes and inside his nostrils were glossed for realism and his feet were glossed for some realism but mostly durability.

I wish I could have put a penny against him for scale but I forgot. He was very detailed for the little tiny guy that he is. He was painted using pastels, earth pigments, acrylics, watercolor pencils, colored pencils, and charcoal pencils as well. He was sealed in several layers of clear matte acrylic and his eyes and hooves were glossed.

She has a new neck, new mane, new forelock, her nose and muzzle was cut off and completely resculpted from scratch, her overall face and forehead was resculpted as well. She has a new tail and her mare parts were resculpted and detailed out as well. The bottom of her feet were carved out and details added. She was painted using pastels, earth pigments, acrylics, charcoal, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, and was sealed in layers of matte acrylic sealer. Her hooves, inside her nostrils, and her eyes were glossed. She was signed and dated on her belly. Her portrait is at the end of the pictures.

Very Limited EDITION of 20 from her Halloween Clearware prints from 2022. This one was the smoky black which was 10 pieces.

He was painted into a buttermilk buckskin with three white socks and blaze face with a lightly sunburnt mane and tail and belly spot. He was painted using pastels, acrylics, colored pencils, charcoal and charcoal pencils. His hooves and eyes were glossed. I also sculpted a custom base for added stability that was finished using real fine sand and colored into a muddy brown with pastels and sealed in matte. His Pumpkin Patch base was not painted due to not being able to be used because of his unstability in it therefore proving ineffective to display him on.

He was a threadbare Levi, I sculpted a windblown braided mane, free forelock, and tail. He was painted using a mix of airbrushed acrylic base coat, pastels, detailed with acrylics, charcoal and pencils, pastel and colored pencils, his eyes and hooves were glossed and he was sealed in several layers of matte.

Customized Rose Reiner
This was a resculpt of a Rose Reiner. He has been turned into a mare with all the appropriate anatomical details sculpted in. She has a new neck, hunter jumper mane and forelock braids and a new tail with a braided hunter jumper tail top. Her ears have been repositioned to forward and alert position. She has been taken off her base and the pegs removed with proper hoof details also sculpted/carved in afterwards. New veining added under her belly towards the udder and up to the tail. She was a fun project that I got to be part of!! 🤩

Tail Head on this same commission was done quite some time ago. I am happy with how it turned out but of course I will really see what it looks like when I primer her 😂

Finished the bridle path and these braid hair tops today on this commission. Coming along nicely. Can’t wait to get this gal done but being a bit of perfectionist, it takes a lot of time. I plan on throwing a layer of primer on her tomorrow afternoon and begin the prep process!!

I can’t believe that our horse made it to the front of the catalog!! It’s an honor. My photography has definitely gotten better but still there is always room for Improvement!! For improvement I would have put my little girl in a cowboy hat and a denim jacket. But even though that didn’t happen, this picture is still great!! Of course my husband really did great too!! I’m proud of both my husband and my little girl and of course the horse too!!
