A week ago Olivia (the beautiful model in the images) and I went downtown to photograph a bunch of vintage clothing (I have a vintage clothing shop on Etsy I just reopened). I knew I didn't want to do it outside but had no idea where we were going to go.

My friends at Circle City Mahj were so generous in letting us use their space for a bit, even with a group of women there from Panama City playing! This is a fantastic location to learn Mahj and then go to the adjoining Bird and Bean Coffee House House to get a drink or treat. These venues are one of the reasons people go downtown Dothan.

Thank you to Circle City Mahj and Bird and Bean for allowing us to use your places for a bit. We truly appreciate it!

My baby, London, 17, will be coming up on her senior year in high school. She's been doing a virtual online high school program for the past year and it has been a really good fit for her.

We did a little impromptu senior session yesterday at Mural City Coffee yesterday.

She's a really good kid and makes great decisions. We love her dearly. Please give her some love.

A celebration of being cancer free

Join Buffie Thompson Dryden as she celebrates being cancer free and recently divorced. When I initially chatted with Buffie on the phone about her own portrait session I remember her saying "I'm happy now".

Buffie, almost 50, is a breast cancer survivor. After going through 28 rounds of radiation, a double mastectomy, reconstruction and a hysterectomy, Buffie is stronger and healthier than ever, and free of cancer.

Without any hesitation, Buffie, said you MUST advocate for yourself when going through this. Because no one else will do it for you.

Her images represent freedom, celebration and the ability to fight and come out ahead.

What you may not see on Buffie’s boxing gloves is the little pink breast cancer symbol. Today in the studio she celebrated successfully fighting breast cancer and so much more. Stay tuned for Buffie’s story.

Last week Jason came into the studio for headshots. He's a pilot and instructor on Ft. Rucker but will soon be finishing his assignment in the area and returning to the Pacific Northwest with his wife and children.

Jason explained that he was doing a bit of a reinvention on hisself and needed professional headshots to better represent his professionalism.
