The beautiful Echinacea blossoms slowly wilt in late summer and fall giving way to spikey balls of seeds. These seeds cling to the dried out remains of the flower through the winter. The seeds become food for various birds and wildlife when snow and ice cover other natural sources of food. American Goldfinch cleaned these echinacea of most of their seeds this year.

A Tale of Two Edits

Last week I had a devastating loss. My computer hard drive died. Thankfully I keep all of my photos on an external hard drive. They were not lost. However, my Lightroom catalog was on the computer hard drive. It was completely lost. So, I lost all of my edits and my catalog in Lightroom. The day after getting my computer back, I was busy re-importing my photos back into Lightroom. The next morning I decided to try an experiment. What would happen if I chose an image I already edited and edited it again? Would I get the same results, or would it be drastically different?

Here are the results of that experiment. The first one is my original edit. The second is today's edit. Which edit do you prefer and why? I'd love to hear from you!
