I only take on 1-2 larger weddings each year now, and Morgan & Ben's wedding weekend was such a fun time. 20 slides wasn't enough to fit the whole weekend, so here's a glimpse of their stunning wedding day.

Morgan & Ben kicked off their wedding weekend at Camp Elsewhere with a welcome fish fry and campfire night on Friday. Saturday they had a camp day filled with activities like canoeing, capture the flag, and corn hole, then ended the night with their rehearsal dinner at Clear Water Harbor.

Sunday, the wedding day, was everything they imagined it would be. There was not a dry eye during the ceremony, and they had a day full of love and time spent with family and friends.

Congrats Morgan & Ben!

Hills I will die on as an elopement photographer

Any moment that is manufactured or forced will not look or feel genuine. Let your day flow naturally and I'll worry about capturing the real moments.

More guests = more stress. If you want a laid back day, keep it under 15 people for an elopement and under 30 for a micro wedding.

You need more than just a couple of hours for your elopement. You should have at LEAST 4 hours of photography coverage, 8+ for a full day experience.

Always finding new stunning locations for my couples.

04/30/2026

A big part of my job is finding the perfect locations for my couples. The top 3 things I look for in a location are:
1. Privacy. Somewhere off the beaten path that not many people know about. I don't want my couples dealing with crowds (and thats part of the reason I don't share specific locations with the public 🫢).

2. Stunning scenery. Places where there's room to stand and saw vows with an amazing backdrop.

3. Accessibility. Some couples don't want to hike more than a few miles (or at all) and that's okay. I look for locations for all accessibility levels.

Danielle & Jonathan's Door County Elopement

Danielle and Jonathan started their day in the early morning getting ready at their vrbo, then drove to Whitefish Dunes for to say their private vows with just their sweet pup Archie in attendance. He stole the moment a few times, and had a blast playing in the water and running along the beach while Danielle and Jonathan said their vows.

Later, they met up with family for drinks and their ceremony, with Jonathan's brother officiating for them.

I had a wonderful time photographing D+J's elopement, and loved spending time with them and their pup Archie.

Gracie & Tim's intimate wedding day.

What a wonderful day this was to capture. Gracie and Tim chose to have a laid back wedding day with just their closest friends and family. They had their ceremony in the backyard of their airbnb, and celebrated with dinner, cake, and heartfelt speeches around a campfire.

God isn't just in churches. You can elope out in nature and still bring Jesus into your day. Here are a few ways to have a Christ-centered day in his creation:

+ Pray together during your ceremony
+ Have a picnic and read the Bible to each other
+ Share communion
+ Have a unity ceremony that symbolizes your relationship under God - sand pouring, braiding a cord, etc...
+ Take a walk or hike in nature and admire his handiwork
+ If you're inviting guests - ask them to pray over your marriage and/or read scripture during your ceremony

As your elopement photographer who also loves Jesus, I can help you craft a day rooted in his beautiful creation.
