Forgot to share these of our daughter & her horse 🐎

The reason I started photography was to capture the beauty of my children.

Years ago I gifted each of them a album full of printed pictures of their memories from their childhood, from birth to the current year. Each Christmas I gift them more pictures to continue filling the album pages. They may not realize it now but someday those albums will mean more to them than any gift they ever received. ❤️

This is a reminder to those who have 100s of pictures on their devices, start printing them in 4x6s and put them in a box or gift them to those who will love them. 😊

Can't believe it'll be 4 years this Fall since we built the studio. It's a special place that was thought out very carefully and designed with the sole purpose of natural light portraits.

The white washed walls, smell of pine wood and an old vintage feel when you walk into the door are a few things that Katie personally enjoys. Every inch was designed and styled by Katie herself. It's more than a studio, it's a small peak into some of the things that make Katie who she is; a lover of old times and simple things.

How precious is she?

A small reminder to myself of why I started my photography journey so many years ago. I was a Mother, who wished hard for beautiful pictures of my babies. Capturing all the moments to treasure, moments that we would slowly forget as time passes. Forever thankful for my husband who gifted me a camera for Christmas in 2009. That camera led to me capturing SO. MANY. moments of our children's early years. ❤️

Beyond happy to now share my talent and capture other Mothers babies.

I know her Momma is gonna cherish this portrait for many many years. 🥰

Christmas is only 2 days away, maybe someone else will receive a gift that will turn into something amazing for years & years, just like my gift in 2009.

Wrapping up this gallery, wondering how it's been 24 years since I met this wonderful family. 12 year old me had no idea how much of an impact their daughter would have on me throughout my life. I still remember the times of hanging out at their house, painting our nails, getting sun burnt on the trampoline, going to church, shopping trips, sharing all our exciting moments and not so great moments. These were some of the best memories for me growing up and I will always cherish them. ❤️
