This applies to any convention. Procrastination kicks in and stress levels so are high that one misstep can ruin everything. At least for a cosplayer. Photographers maybe depending on the situation.

This past weekend I went to Davis for Daicon. I thought about going to SacAnime that weekend as well, but cal expo’s rules made things difficult for me. It was a small con near where I live. Many cosplayers were there and I had a great time over there. I did not take a lot of photos, but it got my creative thinking up. Fanime is around the corner so warming up my photo skills did help me a lot. Here is a frieren cosplay play photo I took and edited.

So I have over $700 on this set. This includes the play booster box, play and collector boosters (English and Japanese version). These 9 cards value at $600+ together based on prices. I have other cards that are high in value, but these are the most expensive ones so far. And with the set becoming more and more hard to find especially collector boosters, the card’s value increases in time. So i made a little profit from it, but still I haven’t spent that much on a mtg set before. Still I am happy how it turned out. Now the Prompto Argentum surge foiled card I plan to get the voice actor’s signature. This card is already at $10+ for an uncommon foiled card.

I am not only a photographer, but I sometimes play magic the gathering. The final fantasy set is set to be released this Friday. However, I went to a pre-release yesterday to check out the cards and played the sealed event. I pre-ordered a play booster box and I came to pick it up as well. During the sealed event, I pulled this card on the first pack: a borderless foiled Vivi ornitier. Looked at the price of the card and I was shocked at how much it is valued at. If I can pull this card at a pre-release, just imagine if I can pull this card again at the livestream tomorrow. Speaking of livestream, come by my twitch livestream 12 pm tomorrow see what cards I will pull in each packs. See you then.

Ok. There is a lot to unpackaged during my time this past weekend. First off, I am still recovering from the con believe it or not. This is the first time I have been to an out of state convention since 2015. The con blew my expectations away. I maybe considering going there again next year, if I can have the opportunity once more. My cosplay photography panel was a success. It may need to be refined for next time I do a presentation. However for now, here are some of the hall shots I took at the con. If you see yourself in there, let me know so I can tag you.

I have an announcement. This year I will not be this year because of personal reasons. Instead I will be going to this year. I will be hosting my cosplay photography panel there and this will be my first time doing in Atlanta. Talk about a huge opportunity. Hopefully my wisdom can inspire upcoming photographers in the future. For those going to MOMOCON, then I will see you there.
