Happy sea turtle day!! Maybe my favorite animal! This turtle was a patient at the Turtle Hospital in the Florida keys when I was visiting. It had lost a limb but the good news it was just gaining some weight before release again. To donate to them go to https://turtlehospital.org/collections-donations/ at their website. They do some amazing work

I haven’t done a personal post in awhile to introduce myself but what better way to do than on my littlest grandsons first tee ball game.

I am Trish (mountain mermaid). This names comes from my love for the high as well as the low country. I grew up in Colorado. Spent my time as a child in the outdoors, camping and hiking with my family. I lived on a marina on the southwest gulf side of Florida for 3 years and still love and visit it regularly. I love the swamp even more than the beach!! I now live in Southwest Montana with my wonderful husband. We are 84 miles from Yellowstone which is amazing. With that being said I don’t spend everyday or weekend in the park. I have a busy life. I am very much into my everyday fitness focusing on progressive overload as a midlife woman and I have 3 grandbaby boys. They live 90 miles from the Tetons. You can say I am centrally perfectly located to both places that people travel from all over the world to see. I have also found so much wildlife right here in the county I live in. It has the most square footage of wild lands and the least amount of people. We always take a mid summer camping/hiking trip to Glacier National Park as well! I try to get to the Yellowstone 3 times a year spring, fall and winter and make the most of a long weekend. I am close enough to go though if something really unique and exciting is going on. I do not enjoy fighting the crowds and you will most likely not find me in the midst of a huge crowd when there. I try to find my own spot from a different perspective. My husband has the eagle eye and can spot wildlife and almost predict perfectly where we need to be in 5 minutes to get ahead of the crowd of sometimes behind it. For that reason I often have encounters to myself with the wildlife 💫Welcome to my quiet little page. I love sharing my wildlife and outdoor adventures

It would not be a trip to Florida without an alligator in its natural setting. I always make sure between the beach time and the Disney time that I get my fill of the swamp and the preserves. I really love how the gators body disappears into the murk and it’s tail rises like a silent threat
