I'll be teaching a nature photography workshop next month at The Renaissance Center, in Dickson, TN, with field session at nearby Montgomery Bell State Park.
It's been awhile since I've done any workshops, and I'm really excited about this!

I'm honored that the Renaissance Center has asked me to do a solo exhibit. The prints will be on view through the month of September, and there is an Artist's Reception this Friday, 9/2/11, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The title of the show is "Beyond the Obvious: Intimate Landscapes from Montgomery Bell State Park".

After a long day, sitting on my deck with the cat and dog, watching the sunset. The crickets and katydids are tuning up their choirs in the trees out back, while off in the distance a train whistles in. And I was just buzzed by a couple of hummingbirds, fighting over the feeder.
I love summer evenings.
