Birth.

Motherhood. Family. Connection. These are the stories and seasons I serve. Some moments deserve more than a smartphone snap. They deserve to be remembered clearly—with care, artistry, and truth. I specialize in documenting and supporting the earliest chapters of family life, when everything is raw, fleeting, and unforgettable. With over a decade of experience and 200+ births behind me, I bring bot

h professional skill and personal understanding into every space I enter. My work includes:

Birth Photography — 24/7 on-call coverage, honoring the real story of your baby’s birth day

Fresh 48 — in-hospital newborn photography, preserving the tenderness of your first hours together

Organic In-Home Newborn Photography — lifestyle storytelling in the comfort of your own space

Doula Support — evidence-based guidance, hands-on comfort, and steady presence through labor and postpartum

Lactation Counseling — certified support for feeding challenges, pumping, and nursing with confidence

Birth Education — practical, empowering classes to prepare for labor, postpartum recovery, and newborn care

Portraits in Becoming — flexible, documentary sessions that honor every season of motherhood: maternity, breastfeeding, newborn, and family connection

Most of my services are available to families across western North Dakota, with birth photography coverage focused on Bismarck, Dickinson, and Hettinger hospitals, and home births considered individually. Because birth is powerful, not perfect. Because motherhood is messy and magical. And because your story matters—today, tomorrow, and for the generations who will look back on these photographs.

Google doesn’t know your baby better than you do. The books can’t feel your instincts. You're learning your child in real time—and that’s enough.

Good parenting isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about paying attention and being present.

📸 Every family I photograph is proof that intuition and presence build connection faster than any expert advice.

𝘈𝘸𝘬𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥. 𝘞𝘦𝘢𝘬. 𝘏𝘰𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘴. 𝘛𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥.

𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵.

Those are the words I hear from so many moms in the process of deciding whether or not photography is right for their pregnancy, birth, newborn, or motherhood experience.

Here's something I've learned after working with hundreds of moms:
The thing you're most afraid of? That's often the thing that becomes your favorite frame.

You're worried you'll look weak in labor. I'm watching you do the most powerful thing a human can do.

You're worried the newborn stage is too messy, too raw, not aesthetic enough to document. I'm watching you hold a person you just made, in a body that just did something extraordinary.

You're worried you'll look tired. You are tired—and you're also the most present, most real version of yourself you've ever been.

What you're afraid of and what I'm seeing are almost never the same thing.

What's the thing you're most nervous about—birth photography, newborn sessions, or just being in front of a camera at all? Drop it in the comments. I've heard it before, and I promise it's not a dealbreaker. 💛

✨ I know this is by no means a hot take, but June is hands down the BEST time of year in North Dakota

✨ Spring things are still blooming, the grass is typically still green, the trees actually have leaves on them again—if we're lucky, there might still be a few lilacs hanging around. And then around 7:30 in the evening, the light does something that I truly do not have a good word for.

✨ It's golden but it's more than that. It's low and warm and it hits everything sideways and it makes even the most ordinary things look beautiful and timeless. The grass, a barbed wire fence line. The kids on the trampoline.

✨ It gives me this ache in my throat that I can't really explain, and makes me a little panicky about not being capable of capturing and preserving it all—there's probably a lesson in staying present and simply enjoying the season in this, but that's beside the point.

✨ The problem is it just doesn't last long enough. The window is short, the season moves fast, and we're all over here just trying so hard to make the most of it, but it slips through our fingers and all we're left with are the memories.

✨ If you've been thinking about family or motherhood photos in the lushness of summer, NOW is the perfect time to reach out. Find the inquiry link in the comments.

✨ The moments that will matter most to you in ten years might not be the ones you staged.

✨ They're the look of awe your partner didn't know they were making as they watched you. Your mom marveling at each finger just one more time.

✨ These aren't poses. They're just people, responding to something real, with no idea that anyone is really paying attention.

✨ A camera can't manufacture that. AI can generate a pretty, fake picture—but it cannot walk into your birth room at 3am and witness your actual life unfolding.

✨ That's the thing that can't be replicated and it's the whole reason I'm committed to this work.

✨ If you're expecting and you want someone in that room whose whole job is to witness—truly hold witness—I'd love to hear from you. You can find the link to inquire in the comments. 💛

Ha! I know all you other ADHD sourdough moms feel me. And no, I can’t just put Sue in the fridge because out of sight, out of mind is the death knell for any kind of habit in this house.

✨✨ SHOUT-OUT to the Western ND Moms rockin’ a baby bump this summer!

Hi, I’m Regina and I’ve been documenting pregnancy, birth, and newborn stories for the past 13 years and JUNE is hands down my favorite month for outdoor photos that celebrate your family and the incredible miracle your body is creating!

Why June, you may ask??? Because the prairie is bursting with life and color, the temps tend to be more mild, and the MOSQUITOS haven’t come out in full force yet. All good things when you want to spend an evening frolicking in the grasses in front of the camera. 😄

Come follow my account to see more of my work, or hit the link in my bio to contact me about scheduling your session!

✨ Those moments of siblings meeting the baby first time will always be some of my favorites to document, every time.

Some kids walk in and make a beeline for the baby, curious and excited.

Others barely take one look at baby before climbing into the bed for a snuggle with Mom.

You never know what you’re going to get, but each reaction is so, so right and I love them equally.

If you have a baby coming and older kids at home, I’d so love to document these moments for you—these are the memories that deserve to end up in a photo album to be enjoyed for years to come.
