8 years married to the man who has supported me through every version of life and every version of this business. 🤍

Behind Soulflower Photography is a husband who listens to all my ideas, encourages me when I doubt myself, celebrates every booking with me, and helps carry the weight when life and business both feel like a lot.

He has truly been my biggest support through it all, and I’m so thankful I get to build a life, raise our babies, and chase dreams with him by my side.

September always feels like the start of the busiest season of the year.

School is back.
Fall activities start.
Everyone is trying to squeeze in family photos.
And somehow Christmas is suddenly around the corner. 😂

We’ll keep it moving, we won’t stand around posing forever, and I promise you do not have to fake-smile at me for an hour.

Senior year feels so far away until suddenly you’re taking senior pictures.

Then graduation.
Then moving out.
Then somehow your mom is crying in the parking lot. 😂

Time really moves.

Grandparents Day feels a little different for me now.

Since losing my dad, one of the things I wish I had done was a professional photo session with my parents and my kids.

I have pictures of them together, and I cherish them so much now ...but I wish I had slowed down and intentionally documented that relationship while I still had the chance.

We always think there will be more time. Another holiday. Another year. Another chance to take the pictures.

Sometimes there isn’t.

So if your kids still have their grandparents, take the picture. Better yet, get everyone together and document this season. Those photos may one day become some of the most valuable things you own. 🤍
