For the Senior sports banners, I cut the athletes out of the backgrounds and put them into ones themed after their school logos and colors. Some may think I just throw photos into software and it does all the work for me. That's not the case.
This photo (used with permission) is a typical example. The first photo is the entire photo, not yet cut out of the background. The second photos shows where the software only chose the main part of the body, not the arm with the ball. Other parts were left out as well (ear example and then after restoring it). The pink shows where it is masked/will be removed.
For every senior, I go in with a stylus and TRACE/FILL IN all those parts that the software didn't realize should be left. It is a tedious process, but the finished product speaks for itself (last photo).
And with that - I'm back to work. More banners to make!
