Today I was privileged to document the summer kickoff bbq at the senior community where my father-in-law lives. It was a fun event, even though it didn't feel much like summer. We're very grateful for Bethlehem Woods and their kind staff.

Ryan, class of 2027. He was such a good sport, given the crazy circumstances--I was able to take just a couple of photos before the storm hit. Then we waited for about 30 minutes and the sun came out again. We finished the shoot just as the sky was beginning to turn grey once more. So thankful we could get all the photos done!

Today we took my 98-year-old father-in-law to visit his old high school. It is no longer a high school (it closed in 1983 and reopened later as a Pre-K-8 magnet school), and he didn't recognize any of the spaces, but it was still a fun experience for him (and for us). The principal and asst. principal were in awe of him coming back to the school 80 years later. And he got to speak to a class of 6th graders about his high school and military experience. What a blessing.

Hi! It's been a while since I posted content, so I'm going to introduce myself again.
I am a photographer based in Westchester, IL. I have been photographing high school seniors, families, and events for 12 years. I started my business in Dexter, MI and moved to Illinois in the summer of 2025. I love it here, and I look forward to discovering beautiful places for pictures in the area (my favorites so far are Graue Mill park and the Salt Creek preserve). If you're local, I would appreciate suggestions!
