Senior season is here! I love when I start getting senior photo inquiries because I love meeting the next generation of life changers. These high school students are always so excited to be going out into the world. And they should be. They are going to be our next teachers, doctors, lawyers, soldiers, etc. they are our next world changers. And it’s a privilege to meet them, and their hearts when I photograph them. So excited for all the incredible seniors I’ll photograph this year!

Little Hezekiah is living proof that the Lord heals. And getting to see Lexi and Kris and how much they love him absolutely touched my heart! They are the best parents to him, and it was incredible to witness it! Being invited into their parenthood was a gift I will treasure. They say when you become a parent, everything changes. But I truly believe the Lord uses children to shape us into the best versions of ourselves. I really loved these people. And I really love these photos.

All we’re seeing on instagram is AI this and AI that. How do you as a bride, know you’re trusting an honest photographer? Look at reviews! One of the easiest ways to tell if your photographer is honest & good to work with is to read what past clients have to say about them. A good seasoned photographer should have reviews everywhere. On their website, on Facebook, etc. No reviews? Either they’re brand new or they’ve taken down negative reviews, so be wary! World of mouth is SO important. Ask around as well! Your day is too precious to be entrusted with someone who does not know what they are doing!

Part 1 of a series where I help educate you on wedding decisions to make your day easier than ever to plan!

Can’t decide on who to invite to your wedding? This list should make that decision easy in a heartbeat.

1. The Coffee Rule
If you wouldn’t go out for coffee with them right now, they don’t need a seat at your wedding.

2. The Anti-Anxiety Rule
If the thought of them being there makes you nervous, overwhelmed, or worried about drama... that’s your answer.

3. The Bare Minimum Rule
No call, no text, no effort in 6 months? Your wedding isn’t a reunion.

4. The Happiness Rule
Do they light you up? Make you laugh? Do they bring joy or chaos to those around them and you?

5. The Absence Rule
Would you genuinely notice if they weren’t there? If yes, they matter.

6. The Phone Number Rule
If you don’t even have their number saved, they probably don’t need an invite.

7. The Parent Pressure Rule
If you’re only inviting them because your parents insist... pause. This is your wedding day, not a networking event.

Your wedding guest list should feel intentional, aligned, and peaceful, not political!
