Can’t decide on who to invite to your wedding? This list should make that decision easy in a heartbeat.
1. The Coffee Rule
If you wouldn’t go out for coffee with them right now, they don’t need a seat at your wedding.
2. The Anti-Anxiety Rule
If the thought of them being there makes you nervous, overwhelmed, or worried about drama... that’s your answer.
3. The Bare Minimum Rule
No call, no text, no effort in 6 months? Your wedding isn’t a reunion.
4. The Happiness Rule
Do they light you up? Make you laugh? Do they bring joy or chaos to those around them and you?
5. The Absence Rule
Would you genuinely notice if they weren’t there? If yes, they matter.
6. The Phone Number Rule
If you don’t even have their number saved, they probably don’t need an invite.
7. The Parent Pressure Rule
If you’re only inviting them because your parents insist... pause. This is your wedding day, not a networking event.
Your wedding guest list should feel intentional, aligned, and peaceful, not political!
