Sharing the most challenging and intimate venue Iā€™ve ever photographed in, and a highly talented and entertaining band local to the venue undersubstance šŸ¤˜šŸ» I travelled to Mansfield, OH for the first time ever and met the friendliest locals that night while getting to experience a new band! Go check undersubstance out they rock out šŸ™ŒšŸ»šŸŽµ
More to come from that night with the other bands as well (although I learned easily how tough it was to move in such a packed venue)

That pre-concert buzz is unmatched. The countdown, the anticipation, singing along to every single lyric at the top of your lungs. But nobody talks enough about the post-show blues.

When music has literally pulled you through lifeā€™s hardest moments, seeing it live heals something deep inside you. You just want to hold onto that high forever. Thanks to Revis for making incredible music, for allowing me to capture three shows this summer and for healing with their high-energy and incredible performances. I had the opportunity to photograph the legend Tori Amos for her new tour ā€œIn Times of Dragonsā€ at the Fox Theater in Detroit for ACRONYM ZINE šŸ“° Music + Culture and it was beautiful- I grew up on ā€œUnder the Pinkā€ and ā€œFrom the Choir Girl Hotelā€ and she still has her incredible style and sound- to see her live again all these years later, so grateful for the experience. Throwing it back to the Cherry Festival with Hoobastank ā™¾ - wish I was with them watching them live in Ohio this weekend, but this week I got to find all of my old tickets from high school from l the times I saw them live- and having seen them 20+ years later they have just as much energy as they did in the early 2000s- them live will ALWAYS be a killer experience

As someone whoā€™s been a fan since day one, trust me when I say they are mind-blowing live. They sound even better in person than on the albums (if thatā€™s even possible). These guys are absurdly talented, and every single show somehow gets better than the last. šŸ¤˜šŸ»

It is ALWAYS a great time at a From Ashes to New show- knowing the entire setlist and healing as you sing along while photographing them is the absolute best- thankful I get to do shows like this and thankful for the band who seriously puts more into their music and live show stage presence than any band I know right now- this was from the latest show at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort last Saturday
