We wanted to update everyone who has been sharing our posts--thanks to 9 adopters, 9 fosters, I Heart Dogs Rescue and Animal Haven, Toledo Humane Society, Detroit Dog Rescue, Livingston County Animal Shelter, Paws for Life Animal Rescue, Oakland County Animal Control & Pet Adoption Center, Misfit Angels Rescue, A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue, Bark Nation, Kent County Animal Shelter, Humane Society of Macomb, and a lost dog going back to its owner, we moved 45 dogs out of DACC today!

Lockdown isn’t ending anytime soon and I guarantee you will need someone to help with thanksgiving leftovers.

Sadly, many of these dogs won’t make it out of the shelter and will never experience the love of a family or the taste of real turkey on thanksgiving. They’ll never lay on the floor next to and wildly lick your face as you as you attempt to stretch out your overfilled turkey belly.

But some of them will if we pitch in and adopt or foster. With your help, there could be one less lonely dog and one more happy family member this thanksgiving.

It’s !! How could I let this day pass without a special post celebrating (and more formally introducing) my co-workers? (Aka my puppers 😁)

Roo - Quite the lazy team member - he definitely gets by on his charm and good looks. The picture of him with this aqua background is when I first started fostering him - obviously I foster failed and can’t imagine life without him and his million goofy weird and derpy faces.

Chewy - Our Senior Consultant who doesn’t let anyone have any fun and barks in their face if they try. But, gets things done 😂 Chewy is a 12 year old border collie mix. I rescued him as a puppy and he has grown to be the most wonderfully loving and well behaved dog, except when we are at the dog park.....
