There’s something incredibly beautiful about an intimate wedding day. Fewer people. Less noise. No stress. More time to be present with the people who matter most. And that's exactly what Gillian and Christopher set out to do.
We started at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and then bounced around downtown Grand Rapids with their 8 guests following behind before they headed off to an intimate dinner where they exchanged vows and made it official. Everybody laughed, everybody shed a few tears and everyone was so happy.

Becky is officially CANCER FREE!
Yesterday, Becky rang her bell in the parking lot after completing her last radiation of her breast cancer journey. And just like when she shaved her head for the very first time in her journey, she was surrounded by friends and family. It was a lot of hugs, a lot of tears and a whole lot of laughs.

Liam + Annalisa | Venue Bella Giornata - Grand Rapids, MI
Wedding season is baaaaack. And although I have very few this year because of our little shock and surprise baby #3, I do have a very dear friend that loves to keep me busy shooting with her when I’m available. Turns out, I’m available a lot more this year than usual.
I’m so glad I was able to assist in documenting Liam and Annalisa because it was the perfect start to the season with one of those couples that just radiates love. Love for each other, love for their closest friends and family, love for the journey they’re beginning together.

Liam + Annalisa | Venue Bella Giornata - Grand Rapids, MI
Wedding season is baaaaack. And although I have very few this year because of our little shock and surprise baby #3, I do have a very dear friend that loves to keep me busy shooting with her when I'm available. Turns out, I'm available a lot more this year than usual.

Becky | Breast Cancer fighting baddie
In Becky’s own words “I am lifted up everyday by those around me. I say every day that there is no other way, I will beat this! Embracing this journey as purpose. I know this is the path I’m suppose to be on and I’m up for the challenge.”
I met Becky over a decade ago when she walked into the store I was working at as my very first trainee and then we worked at the same company for years before I left to pursue weddings full time. While this isn’t the way I would’ve liked to reconnect with her, I am so honored she put her full trust in me to capture something so personal to her.
If you know Becky, you know that no matter what she is going through, she always has a smile on her face and also looks for the positive in any situation, good or bad. She’s handling her new diagnosis that exact same way. I stood in a room full of her supporters while she’s shaved her head for the first time in her cancer journey and she did it with a smile on her face still. Does she not look amazing with a bald head too!?
