I saw a photographer i follow do this - and it was too cute to not do it myself! So here is your chance to learn a little bit about your photographer 🙂
📸 ASK YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER THESE QUESTIONS
Because apparently we need the photographer version of “ask your four year old these questions.” 😂
1. What’s your favorite compliment from a client that has absolutely NOTHING to do with photography?
• that i’m a very easy person to talk too and be comfortable around ✨
2. What’s one completely irrational thought your brain loves to convince you is true?
• that my client absolutely hate the photos, but won’t say anything to me. even if they say otherwise.
3. What is your absolute FAVORITE thing to photograph?
• maternity or concerts🖤 i know those are like polar opposites, but i love feeling the love and excitement from maternity photos. and concert photography? i love the energy, the silly faces and poses, and the loud music blasting in my ear while im capturing constant moving people
4. What’s something you say at almost every session?
• “cuuuuuuuute” “omg i’m obsessed” “WAIT go back!”
5. What’s one thing clients probably don’t realize you’re doing while you’re photographing them?
• watching their surroundings. making sure no one is watching us or making them feel uncomfortable. especially for senior photos and maternity if they’re alone.
6. What’s your biggest photography pet peeve?
• red laser lights. at weddings and concerts, red lights i actually want to jump off a cliff when they’re on.
7. What kind of session makes you feel the most creative?
• bo***ir, or solo portraits.
8. What’s something you wish every client knew before their session?
• i get nervous waiting for you and swallow it basically when i greet you 😂 we’re just people hanging out having fun! i just happen to have a camera. you do you, and let me do me, and just let it flow! we will get everything in more if you don’t stress and worry about posing so much🖤 i gotchu🖤
9. What’s something completely random that makes you ridiculously happy during a session?
• when i’m taking couples photos and the man decides to start doing cute things on his own without ANY prompting. like OKKKKK i see you king!! show off your queen!
10. What’s one thing you’ll choose over a “perfect” photo every single time?
• real laughing. idk if your nose scrunches. if your eyes get so small they seem like they’re shut, idc if your imaginary double chin is there. REAL happiness is beautiful on everyone. and yes, EVEN YOU. don’t hide your REAL smile🖤
11. What’s the most dangerous sentence someone can say to you creatively?
• “whatever you wanna do”
12. What’s one thing you want people to feel when they look at your work?
• i want you to feel like you’re stepping foot into that memory, living it. i want them to feel real. the same way you’d remember that memory in your head.
13. What is your favorite hobby that isn’t photography?
• going to concerts, and scaring people as an actor at a haunted house during spooky szn 🫶🏻🖤
