Hermine, sure wish you hadn't scared away all of our beach portrait clients this weekend. You were the reason for too many canceled family vacations on the last big weekend of the summer.....not cool!! We may not have had an opportunity to make new friends on the beach this weekend, but we have lots of fab pics from Labor Day Weekends past and are happy to share a few of them in a Camera-Shy 'FLASHBACK'. It's always a high compliment when a client refers us to someone, but an even higher compliment when they come back to see us again. This was the case with the Gardner family. Not only did they come back for more.... they found us 10 years later! I've been slow to post a few pics from their August 1st beach session in Destin as I really wanted to find some of their old pics to post with the current. I'm a digital pack-rat... I keep every email received or written and probably have every image I've taken since the digital revolution (and most likely even have film negatives from sessions before that). I knew that, on one of my many external drives, I had images from our session at the Dallas Arboretum in April 2006. Found them!! Look at these lovely ladies now and then (I love a Camera-Shy 'FLASHBACK'!). Jenna was only two weeks old when we first got a glimpse of her and doting big sis, Reagan. They are now beautiful young ladies! It was such a joy to reconnect with this sweet family.

Another gorgeous evening on the beach with another beautiful family from North Texas...the Watkins family! What a hoot these kids were. Upon arrival, the boys weren't too excited about having to get dressed up for pics, but we had them all laughing in no time. And hopefully they had WAY more fun than they thought they would. As always, we were honored that they chose to spend their last evening on the beach with us.

Camera-Shy 'FLASHBACK': Flashing back a decade! Ten years ago, we met this gorgeous little lady (along with her parents and her little brother/sister-to-be) on a bright and sunny morning at the beach. She was as taken with the sand and beach pail as she was the beautiful Emerald surf.... and I was completely taken by this image. It's hard to imagine that this sweet little face is probably in middle school now. Where does time go!? This is Hadley from August 11, 2006.

After a 7-year hiatus following the birth of our twins, Camera-Shy Photography has returned to the beautiful beaches of Northwest Florida! It feels SO good to be back on the gorgeous Emerald Coast ... with sand between our toes (and in the bottom of my camera bag). We look forward to rekindling Florida friendships, building new and lasting relationships with clients from across the country and capturing some fabulous memories in beach portraits.
