STORY TIME!

I’ve been looking forward to photographing Sarah and Jon’s wedding for about 2 1/2 years. Typically couples find me on instagram, through friends (thank you for referring me always!) or through other vendors. But how I connected with these two is my absolute favorite story to tell…

A couple years back, I was photographing an engagement session in Chicago (shoutout Clare and Max!) and we were having a great time and finished up the session a bit early so we grabbed dinner together. At dinner, Clare and Max and I all realized we really liked stand up comedy. On a whim, we looked up to see if any shows were going on and we snagged some last minute tickets.

We got sat front row, and one of the comedians (Sarah!!) took note of the three of us. If I remember correctly, Clare and Max were still dressed to the nines, and I was dressed…. Comfortably lol. Sarah asked what the deal was with the three of us and Clare let her know that they had just finished engagement photos and I was their photographer.

Puzzled as to why they were hanging out with their photographer, there were a couple follow up questions and Sarah went into some material she had as she was recently engaged as well! I shot her a message after the show and the rest is history!

Sarah and Jon (and their amazing friend group) were the sweetest and funniest crew I’ve gotten to hang out with in a long time, thank you two so much for having me and congratulations again on the most beautiful wedding day!
